Ah Game of Thrones. There was a character who was a simple-minded gentle giant who could only say Hodor so they nicknamed him that. Later on it was revealed that Hodor= Hold the door. He kept on repeating this as he barred and held the door against the enemies to let his young master escape. That sacrificial scene devastated me same as this LuZheng one in Blossom.

It's cracktastic! The director is known for his short-form dramas and he makes it work this time, too. The cinematography, storytelling, and chemistry between the leads are π₯. It might be better to wait a bit more eps to be released. π I finished first 8eps in one sitting LOL! Now, I'm in agony waiting for the next ep and it's only 1ep a day on Thursdays and Fridays π±
Why did they want to execute wu shan? It doesn't make sense

He was used as a pawn of Dou Shi Shu (5th Master/uncle) to force influential Minister Wu(grandpa Wu) to retire from the Grand Secretariat in order to save his grandson from execution. DSS wants to get an active position in in the GS and gain more power.
It's taken me a few months to get through this. I have eight episodes left to go! I seem to have to watch 10-12…

TTEOTM is a rollercoaster so no wonder you need a break every now and then. You're right that it is very unapologetic in its stance/personality. Some directors change parts of the drama or ending due to audience feedback but this crew decided to stick with what they believe will work. It's great that you love it. Good to see new viewers till now. π I haven't watched/finished a lot of dramas these past months coz like you said they haven't been great. This one seems to be hitting all the right notes though. Fingers-crossed quality will be consistently good throughout. π€π
