July is Lulu's debut anniversary month and Xixi's birth month. 🤭

Arc 1. This was a perfect introduction to the characters and their world. I was impressed by how taking a non-linear approach, they were able to introduce the struggle of LSS and her important quest to save the realms. The handling of TTJ's backstory as well as the development of their connection were good too.
The first part of the drama was tightly written and edited. The pacing was just right. 👌

10 and 11. Yes and yes. We're pretty obvious, huh? 🤣🤣🤣
12. I like The Untamed too. Not sure if it can be fully categorized as wuxia because of the xianxia elements (cultivating to become a devil, reincarnations, xianxia-like powers). Maybe this is a new blend? Masters of cdrama, please enlighten us! Haha!

Well explained! LSS is basically someone who read a romance novel and used that as a reference for love. Both she and TTJ were inexperienced at love when they met in the mortal arc.

Haha yes this show is all that and more! It is wonderfully engaging and upsetting at the same time. In parts they did well, they excelled and others could be better (looking at you porridgegate 😂). Super glad that you enjoyed it despite some areas for improvement that you mentioned. Unfortunately, there won't be a sequel. It'd be wonderful if we can see the HE chapters from the novel - even as short specials - but this is my hopeful 🤡 speaking.

LYX nailed the portrayal of his 6 roles. TTJ's growth was really highlighted.
Bailu did really well with what she was given. Like you I was disappointed that LSS was underutilized and shown to be weaker than she actually is in the immortal arc. After all, she was already in a higher state of cultivation than other disciples except for a few.
TTJ×LSS would have been the perfect power couple if the last arc was balanced a bit more. In addition, the editing got choppier there and I am dreading ep.33 in the rewatch haha. Again, I am attributing this to the plentiful cuts needed to pass regulation. Overall, this imperfectly perfect drama is dear to many of us so it's no wonder that we have become residents here. Aside from what I said above, I guess it just hit LSS harder because when she saw both tombstones, she realized TTJ was really ready to die since he made his own tombstone. In addition, he just wrote TTJ husband of YXW -- not like in her tombstone which says "YXW beloved wife of TTJ". She never did tell him that she loves him so much so she must be so regretful. 😢

It's a sad but also optimistic open ending. It is deemed an appropriate one considering the premise of this angsty drama. Try to watch a few eps and see if it works for you.😊

TTJ was sacrificing himself to end the All Distress Way so he told LSS to "Let go". LSS said "No. Since there won't be a Devil God(coz TTJ is gonna die), there won't be a need for True God(her)" so she will die with TTJ.

TTJ said "okay" but he knocked out LSS and put the Heart Guarding Scale on her thus protecting her.

LSS said he lied to her because he agreed that they will die together but he ensured that she will live on but he didn't.
