Have you watched The Last Immortal yet? I love her acting too and she's the FL. I'm wondering if it's interesting enough to put it on my to-watch list.
This reminded me of a very popular british show called Normal People , It has very similar vibes with the exclusion…
I 1000% agree! The rating should come from if the drama succeeds as a well-told story, not if everyone likes the characters! especially when the characters have been so well written that they are not one-dimensional, they have sides! life is actively happening to them and they're people so they can make choices. The rating for this show is a disservice.
I want to know though, does anyone else think that resigning in the middle of that would have made them seem guilty? I was surprised by that sentiment but I guess that must be the case?
Nam Cheong Mi's boyfriend is so lucky. He's just a girl🎀. "You just study hard and I'll make all the money"😠Do you love studying that much? I love that for him. Cheong Mi is really super cool. "Did you seduce her well?" lol. His mom couldn't believe it. If your partner is supportive like that and proud of you for studying you can't feel inferior. The person it matters to think that's cool. I also thought it was cute that he said he knew he would marry her from the start.
The show is over now but I wish I could watch them settle down a bit more. I really wanted to see Hye Ji meet Jun Ho's parents and see how that goes. I can't believe she's going back to school! We needed one more episode or about 35 more minutes to tie everything up well.
It's not that Jun Ho was the perfect male lead. He has a hot temper and there were times that he said hurtful things. But he learnt to give her space as time went on and tried to be better. What human being is perfect?
I like that he made her see herself from his shoes as a cool, strong person who can step away from the definition of herself that she has in her head, and I also like that she comfortably hides behind him sometimes even though she doesn't exactly realise it. It was like she found someone to rely on. But what really sold me on him was how much she liked him. If you like him that much and he only has a few flaws and really does want your best interest then I think it's ok.
Finally, contrary to popular opinion, I loved the OST of this so much that I added the songs to my library. Just thinking of the night sky in the intro while listening to the first song makes me feel like I'm living in the drama myself (but I get super sentimental and my heart starts to hurt thinking about the heaviness of the show and life then I have to turn it off if I'm too sad lol)
Simple storytelling. Good storytelling. Just watching people live... I love that. That's why my favourite YouTubers are people just living and can show it well. Just do what you do every day and I will watch you happily.
It's a pity that the rating is so low because of a misunderstanding about what the show would be like. I like to think I know when a show is not for me so I don't rate it. King the Land, for example, is the opposite of this show. I didn't rate it because for its genre it was great (in the sense that it told its story well) but it was not for me. This show carries a heavy and pensive vibe. So sometimes it was too much to handle and I couldn't watch it if I was sad. But it tells its story well and executes the style it was going for perfectly. It's confirmed. This director is my ride-or-die.
The feels at the end ...ðŸ˜how do I move on? oh noðŸ˜I wish I could live in dramas. This is not rightðŸ˜My heartðŸ˜.
I ended up binging this, which brings me to my age-old question. Do I need to give up dramas? Do I need to watch them once a year during work leave or something so I don't use it as a distraction? How can I balance life if I want to binge? I don't want to give it up. sigh.
Anyway this isn't exactly mind blowing but it was fun. To enjoy it you have to ignore a lot of things but it is very entertaining once you can do that. I love dramas that make me feel a lot or that make me attached to them and my heart hurts right now soðŸ˜
There is a French book and writer mentioned in this show. I think it was mentioned when the FL was saying something about love Can someone help me with his (the author) name and the name of the book? I’m interested in reading that.
I read an article about how they were in high school and reunited 16 years later... i am guessing they will be…
Exactly. He still has a very cute face and cute vibe while Ka Young has a more mature and elegant vibe. I'm not sure what their ages in the show are but I think it will be good if they use an age gap similar to their real age gap to make it a noona drama and match the actors because even when he plays a serious character he still looks really young. If not then I think they will have to work hard for them to actually seem the same age and match each other. I really hope they're not expecting us to believe they're in their thirties either. That is wild.
I was excited to watch this because of the leads but the problem that tears her life apart is the assistant? How can you crumble over that? Just one interview and a few articles should clear that up asap. She even had a photo of the assistant and her ex! Just say what happened and there will be zero issues. So how can I watch the show when the main issue is ridiculous and grossly unbelievable? The internet would help you tear the assistant apart. Like why are you crying and running away? What did you try first? Maybe I'm outgrowing this type of slapstick too- when small issues are blown out of proportion for the drama. It just grates on my nerves
damn...damn. It will be scary if you think Stranger things level scary is scary. I'm just happy no main character dies or it (the fear) would not have been as worth it for meðŸ˜
I really loved this. it's not mind-blowing but there's something really lovely about their simple lives done just right. I didn't know I'd love the story, and I didn't know I'd love the characters even more.
