I may have been scrolling at the time but I don’t understand how Yan Li can be the fake emperor’s son? Help…
The fake Emperor is Yan Han who was said to have saved the real Emperor Yan Huai and died in a fire. Yan Han didn't die; he actually killed Yan Huai and took his identity as they were twins. Yan Han was married and had Yan Li before killing Yan Huai.
Li Landi did a live broadcast today 😍 Does anyone know what she talked about? Was it related to the drama?…
She was playing some detective/murder games with the fans (guess why someone was dead based on clues) and spoke about her current filming.
For "Coroner's Diary", she thanked the fans and drama fans for liking this drama. She mentioned that she likes Qin Wan a lot and Qin Wan is someone who she would want to get close to too as friends. Someone asked her about achieving 10K heat index and she mentioned being really thankful and grateful. The cast were in their group chats celebrating about it too. 😊
WHOA, Tengku Zatashah, member of the Selangor royal family/princess, recommended and praised "Coroner's Diary" on XHS: http://xhslink.com/m/1V6aXsTgQH1 👀
Amazing, also no wonder the 1-star ratings for this drama on Douban increased even more welp. All these increasing…
Yeah, she doesn't film a lot of idol period dramas in general. "The Starry Love" was her only xianxia (and that drama did really well due to the comedy and great ship between the 2 main pairs + sisterly bond, it was a refreshing take on xianxia when it aired back in 2023) and then there is "Love of Nirvana" (which is a lot more "serious" than a typical period idol drama and it is a slow burn + enemies to lovers + BE). Her next three dramas to air for example are basically modern TV dramas aiming for awards.
But it is rumored right now she is being approached with period drama scripts so people are hoping her next one would be a period one.
IMO, a lot of the younger actors/actresses that are really good at acting are the ones doing these types of non-idol dramas so if you don't watch those dramas, it did be hard to know them because these same ones also barely go on variety shows or promote themselves on social media like Douyin (unlike the traffic stars who are really up to date on trends so they join in doing dance trends, make-up trends, etc. which grows their brands even more). Oh, and a lot of them only does movies and not really dramas.

I mean he definitely gained fans and attention. But he is not at the level of say someone like TJC who really blew up with his role as Xiang Liu. His next few dramas are ML-centric so it will really depend on if he can keep the audience. ML-centric dramas are not that well-liked by the female audience but if it is an assemble drama where the entire cast gets their shine and the plot is good, it is possible.

You know they are traffic when they have a very active and big fanbase. They focus on voting their favs #1 on polls, buy magazines to achieve high sales, trend on sites like Weibo (though most started off with buying these trends in order to get people familiar with their names and even get into controversies on purpose), and purposedly fight with other traffic fanbases in order to "torture" fans (it is a method they do there to get fans to stay active because fans will of course want to defend their favs when their favs get dragged so become more willing to use that pent up frustration to achieve good results for their favs). These traffic stars also have what we call "big fans" that are sometimes paid by the actors/actresses' teams themselves to lead these types of proxy fandom wars and make sure their fans spend a lot of money to buy their endorsements/magazines.
Most traffic actors/actresses don't really have the skills to back up their fame. They had a hit drama here and there (which also ties in with marketing) but if you truly evaluate their acting, they are not on par with trained actors/actresses. The role itself and dubbing caused an illusion that they are good and then they fall apart in other dramas when they don't have a good director or good styling. A lot of them are also stuck doing idol dramas because they can't or failed to transition into non-idol dramas. A lot of the actors/actresses popular with international fans are traffic actors/actresses.

Yeah, and the truth is these imperial people are not just normal day citizens. As emperors and consorts, they all had their duties to the people. They are extremely privileged. This is not to blame Consort Jin but as a Consort, she should not have confronted the Emperor at all with the handwriting because there was no actual plan there. Does she plan to reveal it to the world? What will happen to her own son then? What will happen to the normal day citizens?
It is another thing if she found out the truth and plan an assassination on him so he could still die as the real Emperor. But she literally had no plan. As a woman yes, it is criminal to find out that the man you were with is not who you thought. But as a consort with a duty to the people, it was an impulsive decision to confront this man over this. The Empress was a lot smarter about this.

Agree and just to add on, it was stated that Shen Yi was planning to look into what happened with Consort Jin. But he was killed off before he got anywhere. Shen Yi was looking through old cases and marking the ones he thought should be reviewed again. It was also why at the start of the story; he told Shen Wan/Qin Wan to not seek revenge. He knew there was something bigger to this than just the Emperor killing a spouse but he didn't get that far before he got killed.
Not to mention, even if Prince Jin and Shen Yi found out the truth about the whole hiding identity aspect, there is absolutely nothing they could do. It is one thing to say the Emperor killed a Consort (which can be "justified" by saying the Consort did something bad), but another to say the Emperor did it to hide his real identity. It would destroy the country and the citizens. It is also why they said the Emperor CAN'T die as a fake Emperor. It must be only Yan Huai in order to pass off the throne successfully. Yan Ze's coup would have opened the gate to rebellions and attacks from other countries if done successfully because it meant the throne was up for grabs even outside of the current royal family.
They never found out that the Emperor they knew for the last decade or so is fake. The real Emperor loved the…
She wanted to preserve his bloodline for the throne, so I get it, but Yan Che just never wanted the position to begin with. 😢 She would probably have been fine with him never becoming the Crown Prince if Yan Huai was still truly Yan Huai.

C-industry has been about money and connections for awhile now. A lot of the "new stars" that even international fans got to know of through these idol dramas only got their roles because they have ties to the platform or their companies used $$$. They barely even audition anymore to pick actual talented actors/actresses for the role in these idol dramas and just go for who has a bigger fanbase because that = some guaranteed profits.
The ones that truly come up themselves are usually not traffic stars so don't usually do idol dramas, so these traffic star fans usually leave them alone since the projects of their favs aren't interfered by these "serious" type actors/actresses. But then you have someone like LLD who doesn't have a big fanbase and is doing both idol/non-idol dramas (taking a share of the limited pie) and someone like ARP who is seen as an "expected traffic star" who will probably be able to take ML roles over their favs. So their methods are to anti them, limit their achievements, maximize their "failures" in order to make sure they don't grow. But honestly, if they get good projects later on and do well in them, these fans won't be able to hide them anyway. Non-fans are never controlled by these fandoms; they watch whatever they want to watch.

I think it will be fine. There have been dramas on Douban that opened up with high scores and dropped really low at the end due to ship related reasons or an ending the audience is not happy with. But audience can still recognize it as a solid drama despite these reasons.
This drama really has tons of non-fans tuning in, and even more right now with people seeing the clips from the last case. And all the hate against it from these fandoms are making people curious to check it out. One thing everyone agreed on for this drama is that the visual + acting are solid and sometimes that's all they want in an idol drama.
LLD is already rumored to be approached with period idol drama scripts so internally, this drama already raised interest/opportunities for this cast even more.

Douban still definitely holds some weight especially when a drama doesn't have any traffic stars in them aka no fans/antis fighting with these ratings. 🤣 But yeah, people know when the drama is more skewed at this point especially with this drama on Douban since it got so many fandoms upset. It is also their way to suppress the cast to make sure they don't rise.
why fu ling disappeared from so many episodes...When Prince Qi pulled the sword towards him first it was shown…
Her role has been reduced a lot in the drama compared to the novel due to the change in Qin Wan's origin. Fu Ling in the novel wanted to commit suicide at first because the real Qin Wan was murdered. So there was a case involving who actually murdered the real Qin Wan. In the drama, there is not much for her to do sadly since the other roles were more important.

Amazing, also no wonder the 1-star ratings for this drama on Douban increased even more welp. All these increasing stats are pissing these other fans off so much. I see them actually downvoting the ratings on the actual iQiyi site too.
*It is a CCTV/iQiyi drama, and she is filming for 2 months until September, rumored to be 8 episodes but could be more.
