its so important to talk about people dealing with infertility. I am actually glad they didn't go 'oh the reports…
My understanding for 1st night: he declined her advance after her confession and just cuddle her. that would be much more in line with the attitude of ML towards FL.
Love’s Ambition is like that friend who shows up late to brunch but brings the best gossip, messy, fabulous,…
Indeed, a wonderful picturing description of this drama. I also found myself f-fwd to the scenes with Zhao Lu Si... mesmerized by her talent to immerse you in her story. Thank you for reminding me the feeling.
This series, as well as the prequel, are picturing the eternal strive of the individuals: love and eroticism: can you have it both? whilst living the suffocating daily life in a metropolis like Tokyo. Interesting exploration for people in their 20s - early 30s.
MDL users in a nutshell:9.0 While show is STILL in its first half: “yeah this is the correct rating”8.4 once…
imho this is because of the mechanics of a generic story: energy is building from introduction to climax, then dispersing towards the ending; here comes the brilliance of the screenwriter: to interlace more stories so that you keep "energy"/"interest" after the climax of the main story or to master various story twists. Consequently, I teach myself to expect that in the 2nd half and appreciate the soft landing of the story; though I hate when screenwriter abuses of story twists then land the story in an open ending - I just feel cheated.
Love's Ambition or Zhao Lu Si in over 9000 different dresses
That's one view... the most important - from my perspective - Zhao Lu Si brilliant performance outshine everything around her (including the wardrobe).
enjoyed the show, specially MC performances which transformed critical life/career issues in something you take in a comedy tones. Personally I did not like the ending, as per my perception and understanding Haruko and Keisuke would be a better match.
I had similar dilemma, but I decided to follow her because: people make mistakes in personal life, but it's not fair to judge their business/art performance based on that. sometimes they could also have the development arc we expect from most drama characters. :0) so I prefer to see half-full part of the glass...

thank you for subs. appreciate the efforts. just kindly observe there are 4-5 episodes where English subs are not synchronized (deviation ~1min in advance). this is understandable considering the amount of work (45 episodes); thank you again
I love rom-coms with such a warm theme. FL has a lot of problems and ML is the green flag to help. It's like the…
I also think these (So-Min & Woo Shik) are the scenes that save this drama. I just confine myself to these scenes and follow the story with minimal involvement.
I really enjoyed this drama; brilliant performance of Zhao Lu Si, matched by that of William Chang + most of support roles have offset the plot holes and challenged montage (to fit in 32 episodes). Although intriguing for my European mindset to buy in the behavior of main CPs, the performance of the respective actresses/actors convinced me and teleported me in their world. I am pretty sure I will rewatch it as many scenes were fascinating.
indeed, hard to find this SP series and the thrill is much less than in the original series. worth as a concluding lesson: one will always yearn for more or something different, but to be least happy one would learn to appreciate what sh/he has already. I really enjoyed to watch the younger "version" of the performers, especially ladies Chiaki, Rin and Manami, also Megumi.
Let's break down the romance:San Ho he's seen her on tv since she's a US Ambassador and admired her policies.…
I like your input. Your conclusion is confirmed as I've seen similar approach in another Disney K-drama - "Red Swan"; that one has a kind of happy-open-ending. Could be Disney "recipe" for K-taste watchers?
Am I the only one who actually liked the ending? Were people really expecting them to kiss or confess right at…
No, you are not the only one! While I enjoyed whole story of main leads, the ending felt natural for me: it's love emerging slowly between 2 people who need to (re)learn what love really is; and all is happening within lawyers world - one with the most realistic (if not cynical) circumstances. I chose to continue the story with them building slowly and firmly their one-of-the-kind love, the one that will grow and age like a rainbow.
Just seen your list... Share with you the need to see dramas/movies where you witness thorough development of the feelings, how character changes and the pain involved in getting eventually joy and satisfaction. Already watched ~8items from your list; pretty much the same ratings. (little more on the Chinese ones, mainly for acting and lesson learned)
