I was thinking the same. The FL character has deep insecurities and some baggage. The SFL is chill. She’s not…
2FL is cute and i think she would be a good match for ML. However, her privileged upbringing makes her out of touch of the average person's daily struggles. I think it would be difficult for her to understand ML's poorer background , and therefore his mentality towards life. Things seem to be just handed to the 2FL (but obviously not her fault). I loved her handbag collection.
Agreed, imo she hasn't done anything wrong. She was definitely harsh towards the ML. But she doesn't have to reciprocate…
Ngl, i think the only leaving the restaurant is probably the only thing she has done wrong. That being said 1. The fact that she stayed that long was considerate with no communication from him. 2. There is obviously a reason for her leaving the restaurant after she saw him running. It just hasn't been revealed to us yet. Time will tell if if was a valid reason.
With the confession, she does not have to accept his feelings. They went on one unofficial date at the cinema loll. She doesn't owe him anything. She has been clear that she doesn’t want anything to do with him romantically. It is him that is refusing to let go. Whether she is or isn’t dating the 2ML is quite frankly none of his business. Could she have been nicer to him with the rejection? Absolutely. But being indifferent to someone's confession doesn't make you a mean or a horrible person. If anything she was direct. Maybe too direct loll. Imo, they had nothing concrete from the beginning.
I do agree that she will regret her decision in the future. In fact, ep 2 showed that was already starting to with the appearance of the 2FL.
Honestly, i am not seeing this horrible person that alot of people in the comments section are making her out to be. I see a human with some flaws - she doesn't handle everything perfectly, so what loll. The ML is not perfect either. It is much easier to side with the ML because so far the story has been told from his POV.
No. She reminds me of the FL from Lovestruck in the City. Treats the ML horribly and drags his heart through the…
Imo. She has been clear with him. May I remind you that it was he who decided to pursue her. You don't have to like her. But i think it is a bit of a stretch to say she has treated ML horribly. She just rejected him harshly. And then again in ep 2 he chose to pursue her. Ngl, the heartbreak atm is on him rn. I think her character is quite interesting. Bare in mind, there has only been 2 episodes. So there is still plenty of time for the writers to delve into her more empathetic side ( loll if she even has one)
Maybe i'm just weird, but i'm really liking this series. I love how low key it is. It almost feels like a slice…
Same. Absolutely loving it too. I already love the ost. The ML's acting is phenomenal. You really do feel bad for the guy. At every turn, there is an obstacle waiting for him .
I love how enigmatic the FL is and how things are not directly presented to us (as the viewer). It makes the slice of life elements more interesting and engaging.
Agreed, imo she hasn't done anything wrong. She was definitely harsh towards the ML. But she doesn't have to reciprocate his feelings. and she was right it really isn't the ML's business who she is or isn't dating, period. Honestly, she just needs a break lolll. Can't wait to find out more about her past.
I’m been so understanding of Yeo Reum up to this point, but she went too far this time BUT that isn’t affecting…
I feel the same. Yeo Reum really let me down in episode 10. I have no idea what goes through her mind when she makes her decisions. It’s really hard watching her make such foolish decisions are making her more distant from ML. She is losing her best friend. She needs to start apologising and being about her feelings. However, it seems like she will never confess. She is constantly biting her tongue and any opportunity she has to be completely honest. This week, she went from my most favourite character on the show to one of my least favourite characters. Luckily, the rest of the cast is entertaining enough for me to continue watching. There aren't any episodes left. I do hope they redeem her character asap.
You know, i was soo mad that the FL decided to bring the camera crew to that secluded place, especially as the FL and ML are NOT on good terms. ML literally went there to get away from the cameras and press. To me, this is waay worse than the FL's last request for ML to kiss the SFL. In the end, it all worked out and his conversation with the young man he saved was very much needed. However, the least she could have done was ask the ML and the owner of the house beforehand. It was very intrusive and disrespectful. It just didn't sit right with me. Chae ri's questionable decisions is rubbing off her too much. At times, it was difficult to discern whether FL's intentions were to help clear his name because it was her fault to begin with and help him heal from the trauma or to skyrocket the show's ratings.
Anyway, I had a feeling that the ML would come back to help the FL out in the rain. Well... I was very much hoping this would be the case :) Although, during the scene i kept wondering whether this was yet another imagination, sigh. The preview seemed to confirm that is was in fact real and will put a dent in the ML and SFL blossoming relationship. Although, in the preview, it appears that ML is deciding to go all in their "fake" relationship. Every week the chances of the FL and ML ending up together seems to be declining. If the FL doesn’t speak up soon, then she truly will miss her chance to be with him. I, like many other, am starting to think the ML is better off without the FL and SFL. Despite all this, I do like the fact that this week was more slow-paced as this gave the FL the time to realise that she was unknowingly taking her friends for granted and does of course have feelings for ML. This week she found that two of her closest friends were going through so much pain and she had no idea. That must have stung. I don't necessarily think her not knowing is entirely her fault, but her not considering the fact that they could be going through their own problems says alot.
The show seems to be hinting that the halloween pairings this episode might be the final pairings in Kingdom of Love 2. I actually think each couple matches better with their "new partner". I, for now, have shifted my focus from the FL and ML to the Chef and Ji wan. Unexpectedly, they are a good pairing. I think their traits complement each other. Such has him being a chef and her loving his food and her mature disposition and his mischievous ways. I do hope their relationship evolves into something more than friends.
How is it so far? Much romance? Are the leads together yet? Any love triangles?
I'm enjoying it at the moment. People are frustrated with either FL or SFL. This week will definitely determine whether I'll continue the drama weekly or wait for the rest of the show to air.
Not much romance as of yet between the ML And FL. There have been two triangles so far. 1. ML, FL and SML ( although not sure if i would count that as FL wasn't aware of ML's feelings) 2. ML, SFL and FL
Yuuuup, that is exactly how it felt like... aka trying to pity her way into his heart. As i said before she is…
Haahaha. Ngl. I was one of those ppl rooting for her. Not for her to end up with the ML but for her to get a fair chance and see how it goes without the "accidental" trip over. Idk if that makes sense. I'm speaking from the perspective of a viewer i.e. it would have been interesting to watch.
To me, she has been an interesting SFL and like she isn't clear villian and arguably has some good traits. She was one of the few SFL that I actually like in a love triangle. Normally, I prefer the SML over the SFL which is not the case here. Tbh I feel like I am somewhat still routing for her but with another cast member. She just needs to let go of ML. It's quite scary actually how she has her claws on him. I keep thinking of how if the roles where reversed and she was a man how much hate and backlash she would be getting rn.
Some may think Ji Yeon is this sweet & innocent lady but I definitely think she's a psycho. She keeps confessing…
Yep. Unfortunately, this may happen (based on the preview). Frr. How can she say use me and then complain to PD that she feels she is being used. Girll, isn't that what you asked for. I honestly don't know what she was trying to achieve by letting the ML use her to get to FL. In their private conversion, she claimed she was totally fine with it as she doesn't want to get embarrassed on TV for not having been picked. If she wants to go after the ML, that's honestly fine. He is single. But at least be smart about it, yeesh!! Being bold and a go-getter and then "nice" and understanding isn't going to get her anywhere.
it's because she leaves room for the ml to think all of that, she's not communicating well which is creating issues.…
Yh agreed. He was letting her use him. I think to some degree he needs to move on but not for SFL loll. FL needs to take some time for herself to just properly reflect. So far A LOT has happened in both her personal and work life. She needs to just slow down. If it wasn't for the ML's broken heart I would have been glad she said no. Of course, the way she worded it was very harsh and cruel. But then, how do you reject your best friend gently when you want him to move on. I don't think you can be nice and honest here (if the truth is that you like him). He would have continued waiting and she doesn't appear to think she deserves his love or for him to wait for her to be ready as she sees a perfectly good candidate for him already aka the SFL.
SFL is all over the place. She is practically begging for her heart to be broken into a million pieces. Why would she ask ML to use her when he has confirmed he is in love with FL and she even expressed how heart broken she was to see his eyes (spotlight) shine on FL instead of herself. She is never going to receive that same look from ML. It's time for her to start looking elsewhere for a partner. She has clung onto this one for too long.
I'm enjoying this drama and practically routing for everyone at this point. I still somewhat like the SFL. Although, this seems to be dwindling every week.
it's because she leaves room for the ml to think all of that, she's not communicating well which is creating issues.…
Interesting. I think differently. FL has been quite good with communication. For example, she communicated that just needed a friend and then said she felt nothing for him (I think to make him move on). I think the problem here is she is not being honest in the. She isn't being honest to him or herself about her feelings and like others have said she is too accommodating to other people's feelings (haha maybe not his in the "break up" scene on the bench). But she thinks in the long run this would be good for him. Instead of him waiting for her until she is ready and maybe she won't be for a while.
I don't think she is using anyone here. He said yes to coming onto the show. Kissing is part of the show. The only reason people thing she is being callous or mean is because she is aware of his feelings for her. Yes, I think it was an unreasonable request from a friend with that knowledge but as the producer of a reality show it is not. In that moment, she was asking this from him as the producer and not a friend. Not that it's any better morally. These are the sort of problems you can have when you mix your personal life with your work. It's hard to draw the line. Things get blurry and suddenly you are kissing a cast member whose supposed to find love with another cast member. Not a good look for a producer lolll. I wonder if people would have had the reaction if FL asked Chief John Jang to kiss Ji Wan or somebody else.
I seem to be the only one who still likes Yeo Reum. She only asked the ML to kiss Ji Yeon because she wanted to…
I completely agree. There are soo many factors that I think some people are not considering. I would also like to know her thought process behind choosing to completely reject the ML. However, maybe we were shown enough about what she was thinking in the episode from her expressions. At the beginning of the episode, she clearly expressed how she felt about the kiss which completely contradicts what she says to the ML the following day. My take is that she saw how much the SFL adores the ML, and because she has a lot on her plate right now and cannot guarantee the same love in return for the ML she may have felt that she doesn't deserve him and is not good enough for him. From her perspective, I can understand how she might think that the SFL is a better fit for the ML, hence why her rejection is so harsh. On top of this, there also the Ji Yeon dilemma and I'm sure as a producer she doesn't want Ji Yeon's childhood trauma confession to be aired on TV.
I do think the SFL was being unintentionally manipulative in her conversation with the FL. I honestly tried so hard to like the SFL and was even routing for her to some extent. I liked how bold she was and wasn't shy fighting for what she wants, which I think both the FL and Ji Yeon could and should learn from. I felt somewhat bad for the SFL for seeing the ML and FL kiss at the start of the conversation. However, by the end of it she was being came across as desperate and delusion. The ML has been extremely clear from the start that he is interested in the FL, so quite frankly whether the FL likes or doesn't like the ML is not her business and shouldn't be the deciding factor to continue the show. (It added more pressure for the FL. At this moment in time, she just is not ready for a new relationship or for the relationship with bff to change). I just cannot fathom how the SFL can still think there is hope for her with the ML. At the very best, she would be sloppy seconds (who wants that).
From the preview, it looks like the ML has understandably lost respect for his long-time friend and even assumes that she would do anything for the show (e.g. use his personal tragedy for ratings). I feel bad for the poor man. I want him to find happiness no matter who he ends up with (the same for the FL). Maybe in the next couple of episodes, we will see the FL's true feelings for the ML as she deals with the fallout. I do hope she consults Hye Jin at some point. The sooner the better to be honest!! She would knock some sense into the FL and urge her to go get her man. For once, I would like to see the FL do some favours for the ML in the present. So far the ML has done so much for her as a friend and I would like to see her to do the same in return. I know we already so how she took care of him when he was going through whatever incident that occured at the hospital but I would like to see more in the present day. Granted there are more things happening in her life rn compared to the ML, but still...
Personally, I've watched the first couple minutes of the first episode quite a few times and the OP quite closely. I think this episode was the pinnacle and from here on out we'll find out whether the FL and ML will end up together (fingers crossed). I could tell her rejection was coming from the snippet we got in the 1st episode. I was actually surprised (and glad) that it happened this early. I'm hoping that this means that their love story is going to blossom from here. Idk... there is still some doubt. I am concerned for how the story will end. I think there are different ways to look at the first scene. I'm certain at some point the FL will take a break from the Kingdom of Love show, presumably because she gets offered a different job which will allow her to work on a show she truly cares about. In the first scenerio, she leaves the show and ML and SFL get together. The SFL looks happy when taking those Wedding photos. That could be because she gets what she wants - Jae Hoon. The ML and FL could be smiling at each other because they are both happy for one another. FL gets to create the show she always wanted (based on ep 7's flashback) and he is happy in a relationship with another woman (and possibly back being a surgeon). In the second scenerio, she leaves the show but this allows the FL and ML to get together because she doesn't have be the producer and therefore make tough decisions about ML's love life on the show. SFL could be happy because she ends up with another man on the show. Then ML and SL are smiling at each other because they haven't seen each other for some and being reunited. Oh how I do hope it is something similiar to the second scenerio. But something tells me it might be the first one. Sigh. I'm preparing myself for the worst situation i.e. may they don't end up together and that is fine.
One last thing I would like to mention is that in ep 8 they spend a long time on leading up to the kissing scene. Possibly to demonstrate how monumental that kiss truly was to both of them, hence hinting that they are meant for each other and therefore will end up together in the end. Hooray. However, another way to look at it could be that despite being a good fit for one another they may not actually end up in a relationship because that's just life. And if we're being honest not everybody ends up with the love of their life (if that is even real, depending on your views on love, soul mates etc.). The reason I mention this is because they keep mentioning TIMING on this show. Oh man, if I have to hear that word again in the show I might scream!! From what we have seen so far, it seems that the reason the ML and FL haven't been together yet is due to timing, it's still the reason now and could be the reason for why they don't end up together in the future. Hye Jin specifically mentioned this to Jae Hoon when Yeo Reum was engaged.
Let's be honest this is a messy situation and there isn't exactly any right choice here for the characters. I've seen people mention that FL should have told ML the truth etc. And while, I would have preferred this in order to save the ML from a broken heart. I'm not entirely what good that would have done. I think one way to look at it is that the FL telling the ML is extremely selfish. For one, she is a producer on the show and SHE brought the ML onto the show. It would be quite unprofessional for her to now start a relationship with a cast member, given that she has already dated another cast member, Chief John Jang. (Not that Chae Ri has been acting professionally lolll.) But still, you can get what I mean. It essentially defeats the purpose of the show if a cast member is in a relationship with someone outside the show. It's scripted but the cast members should be willing or least open to get involved romantically with another cast member. She does have to think about her co-workers as well and how her relationship with the ML would impact the show's ratings. I assume she already feels responsible for the demise of the previous show. From her perspective, being in a relationship with the ML would lead to even more problems for soo many people, including the SFL (not that she should care about her). I personally don't think that the FL is selfish (if you see this as selfish) so again to me it makes perfect sense for her to think that this is right course of action (which I don't agree with).
Anyways, I'm thoroughly enjoying the show. We're now at the half-way point and we have already had an accidental almost kiss, a proposal, a wedding, a confession, an actual kiss and a breakup. (I'm sure I have missed more). I'm looking forward to future episodes and what everybody else's opinions. I think the show will slow down from here if we are to assume the first moments of the 1st will be finale of the show.

Sorry for this super long reply. Hehe.
