On When Destiny Brings the Demon Aug 28, 2025
I’m really so glad I let this marinate for a bit after ep17, cause now that I’m catching up, I feel like I’m about to lose my mind scratching the walls! I can't stand watching Sima Jiao suffer anymore. I can't wait to catch up to ep25 cause things seem to finally get sweeter again!

Currently watching ep19 and crying like a baby...The amount of guilt SJ must have felt at that moment..."Killing" his most precious person with his own hands without realizing it TT
And how come those righteous sects always end up being the most evil?? I miss their fluffy romantic moments already....

Cute, funny, and heart-fluttering… but what exactly did this drama teach us? That mothers shouldn’t accept…
I mean dramas aren't always meant to convey only positive messages. Otherwise, we wouldn't see horror and psychological shows at all, right? And just because certain themes are depicted here doesn't mean they were presented in a favorable light, even though the rom com genre tends to soften their impact.

The scene with the mother felt realistic for an average Korean/Asian mother to me, especially since her daughter described her as close-minded. And why not also highlight the father and sister, who were supportive instead? As for Minju, I took away some important signs to recognize in order to avoid potential red flags in my own life if anything lol While the writers may have exaggerated her mix of toxic traits, individuals like her do exist somewhere out there.

Personally, I didn’t find the show to be homophobic. I believe there’s a nuanced difference between this show and that but of course, everyone is entitled to their own perspective.

And I completely agree that Jung Hoo did an excellent job portraying his character here! For me, he was one of the highlights of this show. I really hope he gets more opportunities in the future!

how is that related to Mr Queen ?! there's no time travel neither body swaps
I think it's because of a guy's soul being inside the body of a woman...Basically kinda fits into the body swap category...But only with souls lol

I finally watched the last episode and what can I say... I absolutely loved it! Despite all the ups and downs throughout the series, this final episode was the perfect wrap-up for me!

And finally, Minju's obsession has come to an end lol. The way she realized she didn't even like him when they were left alone abroad was so telling. She was just obsessed with a version of Younjae she had created in her head all along. Also you can't "return" smth you never had... This girl was delulu all the way lmao

On another note, my favorite side couple Yuri and Minhyuk looked so lovely together and I really enjoyed their confession scene!
And last but not least, I adored the reunion scene between the leads in the cafe while the first snow was falling outside! The way it mirrored their first meeting, with JiEun as Jihun along with all the flashback scenes and emotional dialogue, filled me with warmth!

"I could only get through this because I had you by my side. As long as I was with you, it didn't matter to me if I were a woman or a man. I was just happy."
"From now on, it doesn't matter to me whether you are Kim JiEun or Kim JiHun. I just want you."
Finally, Younjae reached the stage of acceptance fr!

Also, the ending meant while showing the wall full of photos of Younjae with JiEun/JiHun was the perfect final scene!
"Our day-to-day lives are miracles from the universe. It's also love" My pookies!

8/10 for me! ^^

so hypothetically if my girlfriend turns into a man id be okay with it cause im bisexual
No cause same lmao When I first saw the show, that was my initial thought too. It would definitely be a bit of a shock at first sure and it could bring some differences into our daily lives, but overall I would be able to accept it.

I really wanted to get inside the screen and slap her when she started talking!

Yoon Jae is a slow puppy - takes him a while to figure things out. But smart enough to get into Cornell, huh?…
I believe high IQ does not always require high EQ lol This was his first relationship and girlfriend, which is why I think he even stuck around after the whole switch thing! First experiences matter to most people more.

I'm currently watching ep11 and I think this Kdrama is one of the few where the breakup was truly needed. Their relationship was becoming too strained. Even after all these episodes, it was still noticeable that both Younjae and JiEun were still struggling with her transformation and the shift in their relationship, especially with external factors like his scholarship abroad, Minju the homewrecker and the societal pressure. I believe a cooling-off period can benefit them both and potentially prove their true bond to each other and the viewers. If they meet again after years in the final ep still feeling connected and having missed each other, while also having worked through their issues no matter how cringy or ideal of an ending that may be I think I would still find it okay.

Honestly, for a rom-com Kdrama based on a webtoon, they did a pretty good job! It's not a drama meant to be taken too seriously, yet it managed to handle the more emotional scenes nicely.
One thing I couldn't stomach though, was how annoying and nonsensical Minju was portrayed. The writers should have toned it down a bit.
Personally, my favorite character in this show has been Ji Hun played by Yoo Jung Hoo. I believe he truly shined here and I really hope to see more of him in the future, he's a promising talent!

With all the spoilers and discussions I've been seeing everywhere, it's gotten really REALLY hard to hold myself back! I wanted to let this air out midway before starting it and based on everything, I think the plot is right up my alley!! I must hold on!!
Every once in a while u need a kdrama like Moon Lovers or Mr.Queen to wreck u and reassemble u all over again! So I really hope this will turn out just as good!

I am on ep 17 and wondering if I should pause until they get over the hurdle.
There are 3 main arcs as there are lifetimes. Around ep19-20 is the end of the first and based on novel readers, the second will be around ep27-28 and the shortest arc will be about their third final life!

I actually did just that! I took a break for the next few days and have started watching Moonlit Reunion and some other shows that I hadn't caught up on. I think stopping at ep17, which is right before the major angst events of the first arc is a memorable part so I doubt I will forget anything.

I started WDBD first too and quite like the humor but since starting MR I’ve find myself wanting to watch it…
I guess it could happen, personally I think I still like WDBD a bit more ><

I am watching all the 3 most popular dramas airing rn-Moonlight reunion When destiny brings the demonShadow loveAnd…
I see, thank you for letting me know! I was considering saving SL for later, after finishing one of the other two, since it doesn't have much eps out yet. But your comment has made me quite curious now! ><

I'm currently in episode 16 and this is a lighthearted watch, it has great comedic scenes and the cinematography…
Thank you! I'm currently watching Ep1 and really enjoying it! The opening was great! Btw regarding the two men you mentioned, are their feelings toward the FL one sided? I usually don't mind such dynamics as long as it doesn't develop into a love triangle. I want FL & ML united and not a third party coming in between!

I have a feeling that it will end up like the red sleeve. A sweet moments at first and then a bittersweet sad…
Idk personally it gives off Mr.Queen vibes to me rather than The Red Sleeve which had a more serious and depressing tone even from earlier eps...
