There is one simple error I think you made here, Shen is the ceo of his own company called HS and he is just working partners and friends with Hua Yong who is the ceo of X Holdings. It's just that Hua Yong never makes an appearance in public so most public meetings are hundled by his secretery Chang. In ep5 it was even mentioned of how they made an exchange deal HY helping Shen with something work related deals between their companies and Shen providing him with his cover and helping him to get SY.

Sheng hates illegitimate children, and Hua Yong is an illegitimate child who took over the family business. I…
Yes, I get that. What bothers me is how far he took it and how it might end up hurting both of them later when the truth comes out, especially SY. Up until ep4 I didn’t mind his manipulation and lies all that much. I even found them a bit amusing, since it was clear HY genuinely had feelings for him and was just using this “honey trap” plan to get SY to be his. But by ep5, things went way too far for my tastes and I am kinda worried how things will go from here on...

Hua Yong has been in love with Shen Shaoyou for 15 years
Yes I get that hence why I said "lying and manipulating him is one thing". I juat think he ended up taking it too far in ep5 and that thinks might start snowballing from now on...And again I don't get why he doesn't help him under cover using his secretary on business.

Yes I know...I saw that he knows him since childhood and orchestrated all this to get him...I just don't understand why he is treating him like that if he loves him...Lying and manipulating him to achieve it is one thing but what happened on ep5 was truly hard to watch...And I think that SY will keep getting hurt since HY doesn't seem to plan to tell him anytime soon...

Just caught up with Episode 5 and oh boy that was intense! I feel so bad for poor Shao You. He was completely losing it, thinking his Omega bf had been kidnapped and g*ng r***d by a bunch of Alphas, when in reality, Hua Yong is just an Enigma going through his rut, locked up alone in a room and those Alphas going in and out turns out, they’re just his employees...The way things are spiraling, I’m really curious to see how Hua Yong plans to break the truth to Shao You. The longer he drags this out, the worse it seems to get, and it’s only going to be all the more painful when it all comes crashing down.
Btw from what I gather, Hua Yong clearly has feelings for Shao You and the reason he’s been manipulating him seems to be because he wants him so badly, right? But then if he truly cares, why isn’t he helping Shao You with his company problems or the gland cancer project tied to his father’s survival? He could easily assist using his real identity as the CEO of X Holdings through his secretary, keeping his cover intact. So, does he want to see Shao You struggle, or is there something else going on here?
As for the issues with the second couple, it all really boils down to misunderstandings. Shen clearly has a deep-rooted hatred for Omegas, mainly because of the way that Omega girl spoke badly about Gao Tu, and also because GT constantly smells like one, which makes Shen uncomfortable thinking of him being involved with an Omega. If only Gao Tu could find the courage to be open and honest about everything... But I get that he’s dealing with his own trauma too, which makes it all the more complicated.

Just to clarify, this drama wasn’t created for the BL fans or focuses on two guys falling in love. It’s based…
Yes but the fact that he doesn’t break up with her and stays by her side despite the shift in physical attraction, is the clearest “proof” of his love. It shows that his feelings go beyond just the physical. If the change had been permanent, sure, that would be a different conversation. But in the context of this story, he’s showing emotional commitment, even through confusion and discomfort.
At the end of the day, this is a gender-bender romance K-drama, not a documentary. It’s meant to explore fantasy, “what ifs” and like most romance series an idealized love hardly found in real life, whether straight or BL. If you’re watching every show through a strictly logical or hyper-realistic lens, then yeah, this one was probably never going to land for you.

what was that shaving scene? there was literally nothing to shave
There was a bit of stubble above his upper lip I think, but honestly since most Asian men generally have finer and less facial hair compared to let's say Westerners, it's not surprising that you can barely see it on camera.

Your interpretation assumes that romantic attraction must always include sexual desire to be considered real or transcendent, but that’s a narrow and reductive view of how love and identity truly work. In this case, the male lead knows the change is temporary, just like it was for the female lead’s mother so he chooses to stay, fully aware that things will eventually return to normal. His commitment shows that their relationship isn’t based solely on physical attraction, he’s willing to wait and support her through this, prioritizing his relationship with her over his own desires. The fact that he may not be sexually attracted to her altered physical form doesn’t diminish the emotional depth or sincerity of his love, if anything, his actions prove the opposite to me.

Gender-bender stories aren’t just a way to dodge gay themes imo they're a unique trope with their own distinct characteristics and purposes. Even in the big year of 2025, they still have a place for people who enjoy them when done well. While it’s true that Korea and other countries might still be catching up, that doesn’t mean there’s something inherently wrong with gender-bender theme. And nowadays, even in Korea there is a big variety of BL manhwa/series coming out in recent years. Plus the conversation about gender is still very much alive and these kinds of stories continue to dig into it and people's "what ifs"/fantasies. And just to be clear, gender-bender ≠ avoiding gay themes because they’re about exploring identity, not dodging deeper issues like sexuality. Take this drama for example, it's clear that the ML is straight and does not feel sexually attracted to his gf in her male form, plus his long list of "bird files" can also testify for it. And him being willing to stay with her and help her even while she faces that hardship, shows that the essence of a person, our soul or whatever you want to call it could transcend gender, appearance, and even societal labels.
Ultimately, no one’s being forced to engage with these themes, but for those who do enjoy them like me, they offer a chance to see characters wrestle with gender roles, stereotypes and expectations. That’s something that’s always been interesting and relevant, no matter the era.

Honestly, when I first heard about this ABO adaptation, I was a bit reluctant to watch it. I was curious about how they could possibly make it work in live, especially with the whole pheromones and heat situation. However, after watching the first two episodes, I have to say that they handled it quite well and in a way that isn't cringy or overly sexual. I knew I could trust the Chinese production and cast! Let's see how it goes~
Btw only 1 ep a week, it's such a torture if I knew earlier I would let it marinate some more...

I have no patience for shows that try to attract a BL audience but don’t dare to be direct. Why not just make…
Just to clarify, this drama wasn’t created for the BL fans or focuses on two guys falling in love. It’s based on a manhwa with gender bender and shoujo as its official tags. The main theme is about the strength of love, how it evolves when accepting different versions of your partner and how both characters discover new layers of themselves through gender differences.
So, while I totally get that some BL fans like you might jump in when they see two guys in a cover, this wasn’t aimed for that audience. But hey, if you’re not feeling it, thankfully nowadays there are plenty of great BL and even GL series out there that might be a better fit for you! No need to force it!

Currently on episode 5 and so glad I decided to pick this up! I went in without even reading the synopsis. The plot twist? Chef’s kiss so well-written and perfectly timed! The backstory and true identity of the villain hit all the right marks. Honestly, the only downside is that I really loved the dynamic between the MC and the villain before the reveal. I kind of wish we could see them working together more on the same side instead of having to go up against each other. That being said, I knew there was more to the villain, but I never expected that much! On one side, we’ve got the blue eyed Asian mafia guy who came back from the States to 'create a new world' filled with gunfights and terror to exude his vengeance from the society that gave up on him and because his life is on the way to ruin, quite the character setup. And then there’s the MC, who’s got to step up and stop his plans from coming to fruition while dealing with his own fears and past trauma. This show is seriously keeping me hooked!
Ah, and it definitely deserves a higher rating!

Okay, ep2 got even funnier >< Everyone falling for FL's male form left and right and her bf even feeling insecure cause of her being better than him in that form haha And the bird folders(p*rn clips) on the pc that ML's little sister found took me out!! Haven't laughed so much in an ep for a while~ And so far it's not homophobic, poor ML it's just simply straight and trying to process everything...
