What's the difference between this drama and "Go Ahead" are they similar?
Hmm...In a way they do share some similarities like the strong bond and friendship between the three here (Huan er- Xichi- Song cong) and the three on Go ahead. Another similarity is probably about how in both dramas we see stories about their families and their struggles instead of just being another bubbly youth romance drama. Both cdrama made me cry at some point... But yeah other than that there isn't much like the storyline is different and the personalities of the main characters here didn't remind me of the Go ahead lead cast much.
this drama got overshadowed by the first frost and the best thing but i think "always home" deserves so much more…
Honestly, I can't help but agree with this. Back then, I actually ended up stumbling on this cdrama by pure luck while I had the other 2 on my watchlist already, and yet TBT was dropped while TFF was put on hold, and this was the drama that managed to keep me engaged and have me emotionally invested to the end...I'm still so glad to stumble upon it on Twitter...
can someone spoil me the relationship statuses of the characters at the end :D
And it is also implied that Song Cong has a thing with Duman, but sadly they didn't elaborate further and only left it implied (unlike the novel, which they shows their relationship more) Also, QiQi has a bf by the end that she got in a relationship with while abroad, but they never showed his face.
What do you mean Qiqi doesn’t end up with song cong am dropping this drama btw am just on episode 3
Qiqi and Song Cong do not even have that big of a chemistry...Plus it was never going to work between them based on their characters and backgrounds...If FL & ML portrayed the sweet first love then QQ & SC portrayed the other side of it which honestly I liked and found realistic in a way too because not every first relationship ends well. Also if you are only 3 eps in you are basically still at the introduction part lol This drama if you watch up to to ep10 and ahead you will realise it's much more than just school crushes and the high school life. And both SC and QQ do find other suitable love interests by the end!^^
I can't seem to move on from this drama...I just finished it the other day and ever since I have been constantly searching for fmvs and reaction vids to watch and cry all over again...haha...
"When it's already too late, regret catches up with us." That's such a powerful statement. It's one of those reflections that can hit hard, but also motivate us to change in how we approach the present.
Now almost everyone wants the rich version of Gwan-sik >>but wouldn't that be Sang Yan ??My fellow cdrama & TFF…
Hmm not necessarily, at least not for me. Sure, who wouldn’t want to live a more comfortable life with their significant other? But even without wealth, someone like Gwan-sik is still valuable enough. As long as they have good character, fit into their social standing, are hardworking, and don’t shy away from effort, their future will still be bright. Plus for me Sang Yan feels quite unrealistic of a guy to meet outside in real life. Maybe that's one of the reasons why I have yet to finish TFF, but so far, very much enjoying this one in it's entirety.
These two quotes spoke to me deeply: "Just like how it takes a village to raise a child. It also takes a village to save a single life." "Always go together with others. If you do, 100 miles will feel like 10."
As humans, we are social creatures, and more often than not, whether in moments of joy or hardship, we need others to help us move forward in life. So I agree with these quotes and truly believe that having people around can make life so much easier. Even the support my mother gives me alone to keep moving forward speaks to that truth. The more trusted confidants you can meet in life, the brighter the future must look.
I'm currently on episode 5, and honestly, having a husband and father like Gwan Sik must have been a true blessing in life. Especially back then in those years, but even now, men like him are rare as a blue moon (or at least based on those around me). And of course, Ae Sun was his perfect match, doing her part just as well. She even reminds me of my own mother at times, and it's precisely for that reason that I want to give Gwan Sik his flowers. I wish my mother had someone as worthy by her side to support her, rather than the person she ended up with. Honestly, the only thing Gwan Sik and his family lacked was probably wealth, which can be a reason that can create frictions and issues over time, but even with that challenge, his nerves of steel, big heart and hard-working nature, he would always find a way to provide for his family. It really doesn’t take much to have a happy family, yet somehow, it feels so challenging to achieve in real life.
I’ve been putting this off, saving it for the "right time" when I’d be able to handle it better. But, as often happens in real life, that perfect moment never seems to come! So, today, I finally decided to dive in, mostly because I had some free time!
And I’m not exaggerating when I say my eyes started watering after the first 3 minutes of episode 1… “I had no idea back then...That what I would want to say most at 70 would be the word I used to say all the time. Mom...”
"Mom" is one of those words I’ll always find myself saying, too. Whenever I’m struggling or need strength or comfort, she’s the one I turn to. And my mom still does the same, calling out for her own mother, even though she’s been gone for years. It’s that deep, unbreakable bond.
I just know this drama is going to stir up all the emotions in me and leave me a complete emotional wreck...
I am so glad we will be getting a season 2 of this!! I am currently on ep 4 where the copycats show up in the picture, and so far this has been such a gripping rollercoaster ride that is as dark and intense as it is thought-provoking. So far, I love the show's ability to pose uncomfortable yet essential questions about justice, revenge, and the limits of the law, and how it tackles the consequences of vigilante justice, showing both the cathartic satisfaction of taking matters into your own hands and the dangerous slope that can follow. It also doesn’t shy away from addressing the flaws in the legal system, offering a critical view of the real-world issues surrounding justice and punishment. Truly splendid!
What's the drama disappointment? Save a girl from wasting time, please
I checked out ep1 myself earlier! I wouldn't say it's bad per see, especially for those who like Xianxia, but it does give off old-school vibes both in the script and cinematography...It felt like a xianxia from 2018, which isn't bad as long as it suits you. Other than that acting and plot seemed pretty typical.
I feel all the eps have that much of infos so far, at times I couldn't really process the infos😂
I mean yeah this drama as a whole feels rather compact, obviously with the 30 eps limit but ep 13-14, where I am currently at, got TRULY out of hand even with me trying to be understanding lol
I have yet to catch up to the latest eps but based on your comment, this seems to have turned into one of these…
The way I am currently on ep 14 and already sniffed it out...After ep13 to be excact things already started going south with the script...sigh...I guess if I have nothing else to watch, I will continue it just to see how far the scriptwriter will take it 😂
Personally I didn't even give Brocade Odyssey a chance to grow on me, just watched a couple eps and dropped it since Blossom was also airing at the time and was way better. As for TSOPG I have it on hold, I think. I reached halfway and although the overall plot and acting didn't seem to have any major issues with beautiful sets and clothes, I wasn't feeling it so I stopped mid-way and after the SE news it became even harder to restart it lol
I came here to say the writer has lost his EFFIN mind. Episode 18 pissed me off to the core but 19 BABY my man…
I have yet to catch up to the latest eps but based on your comment, this seems to have turned into one of these cdrama where you have to shut off your logic in order to enjoy it and just go along with the vibes, ah? 😂
