Top 5 dramas of the year so far

A amazing lovely, heartwarming, funny drama.do not let the ratings put you off this drama!

The story revolves around do yong shik a guy who has a hard time since leaving school and is not progressing well in his life,he has no job,low self esteem, very anxious in pressure situations he bumps into his first love by chance after not seeing eachother since school she is now a doctor and treats Ed And do yong shik has ED(You know where this is going) - I’ll get to this because I think this is why it’s got a low rating which is bizarre.

What I love about this show is it so different from other k-dramas it sort of reverses roles where the male lead is the one with vunrablility and in need of help and emotional security,- it’s nice and refreshing to see because not every guy in a kdrama has to be a ceo of a major company or a smart successful confident guy, sometimes people get beaten down by the burdens of life this is just a reality and the male lead does a amazing job of portraying this and everyone of the actors are amazing!

The relationship between do shik and ru da is one of best in kdrama for me,ru da is still in love the do shik that she knew at school but she understands he has changed and is not confident with himself. Throughout the show as ru da spends more time with do shik he slowly start to gain confidence and come out of his shell abit more and it’s just really nice to watch.

Last thing i want to say is they make a comparison from the start of the show to end of the show and I loved it
Do yong shik gets invited to a dinner to eat for a reunion with his school friends, one guy keeps going on about how sunccesful he is in his job and how much he his making,do yong shik feels inferior and feels like a failure because he doesn’t have what everyone else has

Fast forward to the last part of the show he now has a job although it is only with a small company do shik is happy and satisfied with his life,he is content with what he has,the same guy tries to belittle him because he doesn’t have a big salary but he doesn’t care because that isn’t what bring do shik happiness. - my point is having success it’s not everything in life, money is not everything in life, you don’t have to strive to have so much money to be happy,it’s about finding things In your life that genuinely make you happy and no one else

Ps if your rating this low because it has references of sex and talk about more adult topics, think you need to grow up

Just stupid

So I’m relatively new to k-dramas and this was one of the first k-dramas I watched on Netflix and up until season 1 episode 6 I loved it,it all goes down hill from there, jojo and sun-oh’s relationship seems genuine and they both care for eachother a lot, atleast that’s the way it looks?! But then they flip it on its head by making jojo heartless, cold and indecisive in the process messing with everyone else’s feelings just because she can’t get her shit together, they way she breaks up with sun-oh pisses me off because why?! It doesn’t make any sense the fact she drops him just like that after 6 episodes of them building the relationship up what was all that for!? Then there’s Hye-yeong who’s a good guy but it just doesn’t feel real between them two, anyway season two is just more indecisiveness and throwing sun-oh and jojos connection out the fucking window, until she finally decided that hye-yeong is who she wants, shows like this make me tired, jojo becomes heartless towards sun-oh when he never did anything wrong?! By then end of it I started leaning more towards jojos cousin more than her and that’s saying something! Watch it if you want but for me it was a waste of time

Top 5 dramas of 2022,regardless of how early in the year it is!

Going to keep this short everything in this drama is amazing, doesn’t feel dragged out, boring or lacking in anyway for me.
Gook yeon so is quickly becoming one my favorite female Korean actresses, some people didn’t like her in itaewon class but I loved it, she’s a amazing actor and so likeable, she’s adorable aswell.
Choi woong changed my opinion of him in this drama, I wasn’t really interested in his dramas but now I really like him because of his performance In this!
There was no random twists or breakups between the ML and FL lead which lead to a perfect ending.
Also have to mention the MUSIC in this drama is top tier v’s OST for this is amazing and every bit of music they played along with made me enjoy this drama more for me,
This will be in my top 5 for this year and I know this because it’s been a while since this show finished and I’m still thinking about it ,I loved everything about it!

The best k drama for romance and love, hands down

So I’ve watched a lot k dramas for love, romance and comedy and I have to say in terms of love and romance this one for me did it better than all of the k dramas I’ve watched before it and this is mainly down to these two main characters.they play there roles extremely well and you can genuinely feel how much they care and love one another, can’t remember any show making me smile numerous times just because of what’s happening between them two and there was plenty of times where I had tears in my eyes, the female lead is so cute
It’s unreal the way she says “Dan” the sideline story is good but the main reason this k drama is special for me is because of the leads, there enough to have you go through 16 episodes no problem,if your on the fence about watching this and you like the pure “romance” dramas you NEED to watch this, it’s a top 5 for me
Quick side note the ending I don’t think I’ve ever been as happy at a ending in a K drama if I’m honest I thought they’d never be able to touch again, couldn’t stop smiling

Amazing show, not just for its story but also it’s popularity…

I didn’t know what to expect when I first started to watch this show,I had ideas in my head of how it could be a Korean version of Alice in borderland(which I love of course-peep the name of my profile) so I was really looking forward to it and some ways it is similar to Alice in borderland but also very different.

Story-
I loved the concept of the show the whole show has a underlying theme on just how far your would go to save yourself and gain wealth, for the players that participate it test there characters and who they are as people,my favorite episode has to be gganbu, reminds a lot of the episode in Alice in borderland where arisu and his friends have to play the big bad wolf game against eachother,it brought out a lot of frustration and almost tears at one point.

Characters- let me just say hoyeon jong (kang sae byeok) was by far and away the best character for me,first moment I noticed her in the train station when she gets bumped into even know you can’t see her face fully,I was more intruiged by her having seen half of her face for the rest of episode,to say that this show was first time she was properly acting is unbelievable, she killed it,and she’s honestly one of the best looking Korean actresses I’ve ever seen, Ali and ji yeong get a special mention too I really enjoyed them in the show because they were to honest decent people.

Negatives-not many things popped out for me but I obviously wanted sae byeok to win so I was pissed off when they decided to blow up all that glass and injure her for no good reason really and then 218 kills her.

Overall/ wether you think this is overhyped nonsense or the best thing to come on Netflix in years this show is now on track to being Netflix’s most popular show EVER,that’s crazy because this show is a kdrama, this show will therefore open the door for so many big shows for korean actresses and actors, I will create so much exposure to the world that korean shows are in fact every bit as good if not better than the likes of stranger things and money heist, Vincenzo and itaewon class just to name the big ones,

My point is this show will be a game changer for the korean industry, I absolutely loved it.

Such a beautiful show

Okay so I’ve come here to write this before I finish the last episode(don’t know why it took me so long to watch this as it’s got a very high rating) because I ain’t mentally prepared for the inevitable to happen the scene of man wol leaving with koo Chang sun seeing her off so I just want to talk about how amazing this show is

Story:
The story and concept to me is great as I’m relatively new to k-dramas I don’t know if it’s a played out concept or original but I love it, the idea there is something after death is a beautiful thing and I feel like a lot of people that watch this can find comfort even know it is fantasy in watching this.It is a very emotional show usually I’m not really getting watery eyed until the end but with this because every episode there is a different story of someone that has passed it started from the beginning the stories In particular I shed a few tears at was the couple the were going to get married and go to the afterlife together, the doctor and his wife trying to prolong there sons life by giving them there lifeline,Sanchez losing his girlfriend Veronica was very emotional too.I also enjoyed how the story of man wols past it intertwined throughout the whole show with yeon u and the general. The whole way through the show they have eluded that man wol will have to go and I’ve known this but I’m not ready for it it’s going to be heartbreaking.

Cast/characters
Main star of the show is 100% IU-man wol she’s hilarious and sweet and a more forward confident sort of female lead which is definitely how i prefer female leads in k dramas in the majority of the shows there shy with there emotions, beat around the bush too much or are just awkward with people they clearly like not with man wol she knows what she wants she’s self confident, stubborn and expresses her feelings full on similar examples of this in shows I think are great are go moon young from it’s okay not to be okay and shin Hye sun from angel:last mission love.
Koo Chang sun is great too his chemistry with man wol made laugh a lot of the time and there great together.
All of the hotel staff are great too the bell boy in particular I liked.

In conclusion I loved pretty much everything about this drama only thing I wish would change is probably man wol and Chang sun being together at the end but the story is about death and the afterlife so I suppose it would undermine the whole theme of the show
Watch it if you haven’t already you will enjoy it!

I’m enjoying so far but..

So I’m really enjoying this so far it’s one of the few k dramas I’ve fully invested in and focused on the story from the start lee Ahn and Jae in are great BUT.. I’ve just finished the end of episode 9 and lee ahn has really pissed me off so much so that I’m writing this just for this specific moment,so in first 4-5 episodes there both in middle school and Jae in is constantly worried about wether the other students will find out about her dad actually being in prison for something he ALLEGEDLY did for the murders when lee ahn was a kid when in fact Jae ins dad actually saved lee ahn and tried to save his parents?, so far it’s pretty clear it wasn’t him,lee ahn has seen all of jae ins memories with her father and it’s clear he’s not the person who did it and even if he did is that Jae in fault? No it isn’t don’t put blame on her like everyone else did in middle school when she was bullied for it,(and by the way lee ahn stands up for her numerous times in middle school) so episode 9 comes around and what does he do he finds out who Jae ins father is and straight away he puts it all on her and makes her feel terrible and he said this and I quote “even if your father has done wrong,it’s not your fault”
