I think it’s a universal theme, not just for Chinese audiences. Many international fans love this drama too. MDL ratings are always off. The same just happened again with the Demon Hunter’s Romance, which is a completely different story.

Which panther lives in an ice world? That’s a very illogical element just to underline their different backgrounds.

Yes, do! Filter was wonderful 😍 It has a bit of almost bad taste humour popping up in the first episodes, but I think from ep7 onwards it is wonderful and gets better and better.

But for the puppet demon I think the theme was more complex than a puppet wanting to be a human. It‘s a daughter struggling with feeling/being not good enough for her father’s love/acceptance/respect etc. And on the other hand a father who loves his daughter even though she does evil and how to deal with the situation.

I thought the same about the climax action scene in ep34. It was so different from the rest of the drama.

Agree, the whole drama is built around that theme. And I don’t mind the outcome that much, but how it was written.

Thanks! I also think that mini dramas are not the answer in the long run. I personally don’t like them.
I’m quite positive that changes are going to happen though. There already are ‚new‘ ideas here and there.
