I‘m really picky but I was so positively surprised by Key to the Phoenix Heart. It’s very fast paced, the political plot is very interesting and has several unexpected twists, the romance is beautiful and pure. Maybe you’ll give it a try.

I find the character so despicable and repulsive and I think that’s also due to the over acting. I wish the character was written to be more grey than just despicable and portrayed a bit more likeably.

Agreed, I think he learned from his mistakes and he wanted to be with her at all costs. I would have chosen Xiang Liu a 1000 times! And maybe if she had really opened up to him and committed to him he would have chosen a different path in the end. Lost you forever is one of my favourite dramas to date because it is complex and tells the story of different kinds of love and leaves much room for discussion.

He would not let the world „burn“ for her. He let her down and hurt her repeatedly. Even in the beginning when he was still Shiqi he let her down, disappearing when she needed him. In the end he was the only possibility because she wanted someone to leave with her and he was ready to leave with her.

I haven‘t finished it yet, but so far I think it’s well written, especially if compared with many other dramas ofcrecent years. For instance Pursuit of Jade was praised by so many but if you actually look at the writing it was really bad. And there were so many!

Why do you not go and fight and complain about the fact that 18 year old girls actually have to star in certain movies. That’s a real problem! Not a 17 year old who works in a perfectly fine environment in a well made drama series.
