Why can't GMMTV find a proper story for ForceBook? They have good chemistry, but all the stories so far have been meh at best. Their greatest role was in Peaceful Property on Sale. That sub-story could have been adapted to a good vehicle for them both! Dao, while no Giwi (Namtan will always be Queen Baddie), was well played by Jan. I didn't expect her to be such a good baddie. Jamie looked real, real, real good in the police uniform :D
Thai House of Cards? Almost perfect. The political intrigue was simply epic. It's a drama, yes, but no overly dramatic characters. Perfect set in the "civilized" world of politics. S2 please.
One thing I love about this show is the friendships in it. Mai has been a comic relief, but we've had several…
Farm and Jay is one of the most wholesome things I've seen in a BL in a while. How they became friends is so organic and feels like a real situation at school!
At first this looked like some sort of comedy, but the development and growth of both characters has been amazing. Yes, Thee grew more, so far, but we also see alot of change in Peach. Plub accepting Thee as Khun then P' was also touching. It came from a place of honesty, sharing what she did with him in a moment of vulnerability. Very good writing. Phuwin has really come into his own playing Peach. He has the character down.
The irony of this drama is the 'enemy' tag of the main leads, they should have used the 'frenemy' tag. They attended…
They don't really "hate" eachother. Jinn dislikes what Jerome did to him at a young age, so they ended up in an adversarial relationship. They still do run in the same circles and their parents are very close. In fact I find that a positive and healthy part of the BL. When one parent is punishing their child the other's parent is in full support and even admonishes their child. No untoward drama there. The parents encourage their friendship and adversity, but have never interferred in their children's relationship.
Ridiculous? Yes. Chemistry? Yes. Firing on all cylinders? Hell yes! High energy with not a dull moment! Prim and Sky wow! Never a duo I'd expect but perfection!
This had great potential to be the best of 2025. The story was there, but a slight re-write could have made carbon into diamond. The actors were there, but the direction left much to be desired. Tongtong, for example, is an amazing actor. As the baddie he could have shined. If he was allowed to ham up his performance it would have come across better. He did the anger amazingly, but there was too much of it. Compared to something like To Sir, With Love, which also had some over the top scenes (who could forget the death scene where the mother virtually called on everybody in the household as she died :D), a little movement in that direction if you wanted soap opera could have been good. The melo scenes also proves this. When Than brought Pheem to his parents' home it was just great to see his reactions to the different parenting style.
The only issue I have is couldn't we have spent more time in Davin home country. The King and Queen should have not been so quick to accept. Well scripted and acted, Winny and Satang brought their A game here. Winny showed an amazing range of emotions. Also, anything with Namtan and Garwin, even making cameos, can't be 1/2 bad. These two elevate any scene they are in!
Wow. Epic work Domundi and Mandee Works! You've found an amazing balance between the BL elements and the actual storyline.
The lore was handled beautifully while not being bogged down with the relationship aspect of the drama. At the same time the couples felt well developed.
The historic elements were just spectacular. Period correct costuming, architecture and customs added to the flashbacks.
The religious aspect was used to a great effect.
IMHO possibly the best BL of 2025 and among the greatest supernatural BLs of all time! Right up there with I Feel You Linger in the Air and Spare Me Your Mercy.
