I can't see why this one is so low! It wasn't perfect by any means, but had a nice, character driven story. For 2024 so far I'd say it's in the top 20, maybe even 15, so far. A nice, humanistic approach to the classic vampire story. It's way better than the British modern adaptation of Dracula. If I'd change anything it would be to start as a historic and interlace the present into it. It didn't need to be full out, but just some basic scenes. We still needed to see what the marriage promise between Pun and Janja to understand that past. We needed to see where Pun decided that pork blood soup was better than human blood. I'm also a sucker for stories with reincarnation. Bringing that feature in from early would have added another dimension to the story. We could have also been able to explore the classic Western vampire concept in a Buddhist/ Thai/ tropical way.
I love seeing my favorite GMM female stars in the main roles. Namtan is so terrifically talented and her skills are wasted as the female in BL's. She was so utterly amazing in The Player as the main baddie. Here, again, she has amazing chemistry with her co-stars. The characters are all fun in their own way. I'm very happy to see a project of this nature, where these actors get to play different roles.
I love the moms in this drama...Mek's mom to Prof: "... you're my future daughter-in-law's friend."Pretty: "Mom...…
Yes! I love how Mek's mom started out seemingly toxic, but is quite supportive of her son's true love. She's not really standing in the way of the relationship, nor thinking Pretty is a gold digger.
What a ride! The opening episodes never hinted that this would become a psychological thriller. The writer conveyed that not all characters you think are good are that. Everyone has their moments and faults. The ending is open and left to interpretation but it's a good ending. There are too many horror/ suspense movies/ series that end all honky dory and happy. Finally, a character who survives asks a major question: how did we get to this point without an investigation and consequence? Even if they are still in the house or reality it is sad to see how losing White affected Tee. The relationship was so perfectly built up. Yes, we feel sorry for White, the only truly innocent character, but his death would be very telling on Tee. A special would be great, possibly with a new cast exploring the house. Hope we see this soon!
EP.8 has this "time" locked USB everywhere, are they selling USB now?We begin with Bew gone psychotic, and talk…
If "Foam" came from the future why is he not top in the acting lessons? Shouldn't he already be the "best" at acting since he's already a star in the future? There seems to be many, many USB's. Maybe several customers loose flash drives every night at the club? When Tar told them about Chris saying something I rewound the episode to see if I missed something. Are we ever going to know what he said?
EP.6 we have shower and shower and shower, that's the only coherence I see.We have Park degrenrate into a puppy,…
What I want to know is if Foam knew Chris is his BF in the present why is he jealous of him in the past for talking to his X? And how did Foam not know of the X? Surely they would have spoken to eachother about past relationships?
Ash Malanum has done it again. His writing ability, characterizations, and the feeling he puts into his scripts are amazing. Ivan Andrew Payawal has to be one of the most thoughtful directors in The Philippines and Asia. His camera movements and timings are as perfect as Aof Noppharnach Chaiyahwimhon (Thai - Last Twilight et. al.). Ivan and Ash seem to work so perfectly together!
The acting was on point as expected from the two main leads. Paolo and Miggy are extremely talented and pair well together. Cedrick has always been great in the bit part he plays.
My only issue is the runtime. The pacing was overall good, but at almost two hours it did seem a bit laggy at times.
The ending was very poetic. Both seem to be on good terms, but not in a relationship. It's an ok ending. That closing song was just a beautiful way to close a chapter on these young people's lives.
I salute The IdeaFirst Company for their innovative and entertaining productions.
Tharn is certainly not a weak character. He's physically smaller than the other team members, but he is a competent IDF officer. The character is well-written and acted. It's just the case with Gun. His size usually has him as the damsel in distress type too easily. However, many of his roles have broken that stereotype which I am happy for. Babe is a competent actor and brings justice to Tharn and his Naga.
This series is one of those where, from the beginning, the characters have all gelled. The chemistry among every one of them is palpable. The IDF team feels like a team. The Inspector feels like a leader.

Pls put it as a spoiler!

The only complaint is that we could have seen more of Ray's background.
