Unfortunately, this drama deprived us of seeing Eunjang's White Mamba which was Si eun's nickname in the webtoon....…
Agree. Also, they cut down almost half of the characters from the webtoon. If they gave us a few fights, then they should at least show the proper showdown between Si Eun and Hyo Man.
s1 was not a Netflix Original, so that should explain the weak storytelling in this season. While it's good, it would be better if not the best had they stayed true to its source material.
Ahh I really wish they kept true to rhe webtoon, especially the villains, why are they so damn nerfedNa baekjin…
Yes, Na Baek Jin is the strongest character in Weak Hero, followed by Ben Park in second rank.
The director said they toned down all the violence and gloominess in s2 to appeal to global audience (s1 was not a Netflix original, they even deleted some scenes, when they streamed it.). They should at least follow the manhwa in the fight between Si Eun and Hyo man, like where's the bag and the slap? haha.
No Teddy Jin or Gerard Jin, no Kingsley or even the delusional Jimmy Bae.
And Na Baek Jin was more drawn to Si Eun than Baku. Even the math contest, they should at least retain that one. That shows the battle between those two is both brawls and brains. And even when he was dying, Baek Jin wondered and even imagined what his life would be if he met Si Eun a bit earlier.
While s1 gave us good storytelling, s2 seemed rushed, leaving some pivotal moments for Si Eun's character journey.
But still we cannot expect that all adaptations will be portrayed 100% accurately from their source material.
With that being said, this season is still a good watch, though it would be better or even best if they stay faithful to the webtoon.
Overrated.Every time the main character gets into a fight, they’re always looking for something sharp to stab…
well they don't fight for entertainment, nor are they pro fighters. They fight for survival, especially Si Eun. You can see, since s1, he was not athletic and didn't know how to fight. He was bullied, so he thought that the only way for him to fight against his bullies was to use his brain-to calculate how to utilize whatever is in his surroundings to his advantage. This strategy works well for him though, because people think he's a lunatic and avoid him. Another thing, they're just a bunch of high schoolers, they're still young, and some people fight filthy.
Though I read the manhwa and enjoyed season 2, which I believe could be a stand-alone series(so no need to compare it to its prequel), the reason I was anticipating this season is that I just wanted an update on Suho's condition😅. And because of Beom Seok I have my doubts on Jun Tae both manhwa and live adaptation, ahaha mianhaeyo Jun Tae😆
I mean how many would have someone like gwansik as a father? This is why everyone is talking about this in sk.…
he also worked himself to the bones since young, never took a break and, eventually, all his hard labor took its toll on him. Like Gwan Sik, he died young, also 56. He left before he could enjoy the comfort we can provide for him now.
with billions of people, of course, not everyone will approve of you and not everyone will like what you like and that's okay. Also, having contradicting ideas is also fine.
I heard about that sect thing too, and I'm so glad that he changed church.
i can't believe yeong beom didnt get a happy ending☹️
I also feel sorry for him, but he is still immature and indecisive. In the end, he couldn't make a stand with his mother. He let her choose his wife. In a way, he was partly responsible for his misfortune. In contrast, Gwan Sik opposed his family and built his own. Sure there are sad days, but there is also happiness.
Gwan Sik died in 2006 in his late 50's. He was 56, and the year Ae Sun was in the Jeju Elderly Home was 2023. Ae Sun is living 17 years without her Steelheart.
“Favoritism is really unfair. It’s better not to love at all. Giving less love is so unfair. It stops a child…
factor why Ae Sun favors her daughter more is that she relates to her being a woman herself in an era where they called it a man's world, world. So she supports her daughter with all she has for Geum Myeong to be able to break the norms that women are supposed to only be doing housework, serving the in-laws and husbands.
She thought that her son, being a man, would do well because society is on his side, for the reason that he is a son -a man. With this reasoning, she forgets that Eun Myeong is also her precious child that needs parental care.
Imo Chung Su is correct that Geum Myeong is the strong one and Eun Myeong is the delicate one.
Shouldnt Kim Seon Ho be listed as Support role instead of Guest Role??
though he is Geum Myeong's husband, the character is not pivotal to the story's progression. That is why his screen time is also less even if his wife is on the screen he was nowhere to be seen, just because the character of husband is just for a cameo role. Jun Young, on the other hand, even if he is not the end game, played an important role that adds development to the story.
