Understand your feeling tbh. It is hard for people to not make comparisson since it is a prequel of something very popular.

It wouldn't. Because in other for a plot like this to be a successful the author would need to either give us a good romance or not a romance at all.

For example, if they give us "Behind your touch" couple vibes (where we only get a glimpse of "romance" in the end, but had them knowing each other and have fun interactions), then the drama would be better.

The real problem is what someone up here said, we don't really know what this drama is.

I doubt. The reason on why the first show was so popular was not because of the plot (although was different at the time and I give you that), but rather a number of factors that this one lack.

1) Main Leads's chemistry. You can see the chemistry coming from Park Hyung Sik and Park Bo Young. This is not true for this couple at all (honestly her parents actors have way more chemistry than them).

2) In Strong Woman the main plot was about the couple. In this one is the family as a whole as well the drug thing. So, the audience might differ since most of people who watched Strong Woman would do because of the romance. And in this one, the romance is weak.

3) The couple's story. Strong Woman couple had a lot of good, funny and meaninful scenes. Also, you could see their struggles in every aspect. While this couple everything is either easy or meaninless.

4) The female characters. In Strong Girl all women are Mary Sues. In Strong Woman, although we do know Bo Young's character was strong, she didn't give the Mary Sue's vibes. Saying that, I don't really have a personal hate for the Female Lead on this one, however I rolled my eyes for almost everything the women in that family does.

5) Male Lead. I do think that one of the reason on why people loved so much this show was due to how Park Hyung Sik acts. And in this drama, the guy who have the most potential to do that is Byeon Woo Seok and he is the villain.

Those are just some reasons I can think of. But if I need to highligt the most important one is the focus of the plot. Which changed the audience a lot.

Okay thee only 3 things this drama has that would make you watch (but skip everything else for how trash it is).

1) Nan Soo's father and his interaction with his kids.
2) Shi Oh (I swear, the show would be way better if he was the main guy and not Hee Shik)
3) Brother's plot and Father's plot in general.

Other than that, you should skip.

True. I feel like if Shi Oh was thee endgame it would be so much better. The chemistry and even the plot would be more interesting.

It's been a while since I've watched it. But if I'm not mistaken, mother was cheating on the father. He discouvered and committed suicide. Meanwhile I think mother's affair killed her or something.

True. Although I can forgive FL more since she is stated to be 19 years old and has no family at all.

It is getting a little repetitive. All the episodes look the same.
FL and ML have some "teasing" moment> SL or SFL comes and FL/ML fight > FL is kidnapp> ML rescue FL >ML and FL have a cute momennt.
Then the circle conntinnues again and again.

It does seem ML feel in love at first sight in this verrsion as well.

Honest I do like the FL. Her behavior does make a lot of sense and up until this point she is a very reasonable girl and since she is not old, many of her flaws can be forgiven.

WTF is wrong with the brother and the P'raek?!

Okay, usually I don't like to make this type of comment. But I think this might be the first drama ever where I will drop.

I'm trying a lot to like this drama since it is in the same world as Strong Woman Bong Son. But I can't. Every episode is too boring, the leads are not really charismatic and the Mary Sue here is too much.

Also, the mother is annoying. She treats the father and her son so bad and make it seems that only the FL matters because of the power. This is not okay at all.

I think it is the shaman. Is the only person who is somehow related to all these characters that were killed.

Is just me or anyone else think Rowoon reminds Seo in Guk? I've never watched anything with him, but his physics plus the way he acts makes me remember Seo in Guk.

Very good start. It's been a while that I genuinely liked (to the point of getting hyper) a drama right from the beginning. Usually they become my favorites in the end. So let's see if this drama will be that.

Okay, now I'm expecting us to get some type of drama to fill the rest of the episodes. But I wouldn't like if they break up or some stupid misunderstanding pops up. I want them to fight together. Also, would be cool if ML's mother shows up

Yeah. Tbh I want a happy ending for the family, so I hope it is not just a gender issue. Although I know how koreans are, I feel like the sister isn't really bad. Especially if it is just a gender issue.

Another theory that I have now, based on the sister's dialogue with her employee. What if sister is just an adotive sister and not really connected to ML by blood? That is why there is this inequality treatment going on? What if is not a gender thing?

I didn't know it is based on a webtoon. What is the connection about?
