I'm not done watching episode 5, I'm just here to say yeeees, my dearest ratings in Korea are better this week hope it will really break into two digits.
The way the situation wasn't a joke at all and Gil Chae with her who's that ugly jerk made me smile before getting nervous again, this drama, I hope it continues to be that good.
Being a scholar is something, being a soldier is another thing. Touched by the behaviour of supposed fiancé of Gil Chae trying to protect the young master to keep his word. War is ugly but seems like ugliness give birth to beautiful heart breaking episodes. And why on earth did they need to alarm the king if their presence, it was clear that it was a bad idea.
I didn't mind her too much trying to get that young master even if it's her best friend's fiance buuut is she really going to make someone propose to her just to make the young master jealous, don't be like that Gil Chae ya !!!
I wasn't really interested by watching it. The poster is so vague giving a depressing and sad vibe. And the rating was even lower at first, but seeing the last scene of episode 4 and how people were praising it, I watched the first two episodes and those ratings should be higher. ✓ The cinematography is waouh, these colors, that boat scene, a feast for the eyes. ✓ The FL, Ms doctor in hospital playlist, her character here is so unlike usual FLs of dramaland and these episodes were so cheerful and funny, yes I know, that won't last but it gave a good start. ✓ The ML is maybe, you know, not really likable as Gil Chae said to him, endearing old people with sweet words to use them isn't really good, but I'm really interested by his other activities, who is he, playing all soft and ordering the death of somebody, his backstory, I hope writers explore and develop it well.
The end of episode 2 that contrast between joy laughter and the invasion coming, was well executed, excited to watch ep 3 and 4 but hope I'll manage to watch the storm coming.
How kdrama works hh: First episode of the week half of it is fillers, second part we need it but quiet one Second episode of the week: makes you more hooked and drives you crazy the whole week waiting hh
This episode was average, it doesn't need to be a storm everyday, but I'm glad he's back at his apartment. The drama is their scenes together, hope we'll get more of em tomorrow. And that ex girlfriend, the mistake of his life, was pitying her and saying he liked her, she turned out to be totally crazy, so scary.

Glad to see Ms doctor in hospital playlist as a FL, her character is not common in DramaLand Ms Fox and Mr chaos, I know episodes won't be this happy and cheerful but writers got me with this light full of colours first episode
