Lol. Allen Ren is a bit small for Dilraba. Dilraba is kinda tall… I think both of them acted really well in the series but probably lost out on visual + physical chemistry…

Yea…. Another 30 minutes would have been perfect. The last 2 episodes were defo rushed…. Not a deal-breaker but it was slightly rushed…

Yea. But it’s likely partially because she’s only 14…. The actress I meant… no idea how old she should be in the novel… Yea, the Eng translation of the novel was kinda weird.

But Leo and Lusi’s chemistry was definitely supported by the script of LLtG…. In that one the entire romance was so “dreamy”…. 🤣 the ML role was so….. lol. I mean it’s like “every-girls’s-dream” kinda thing. And they did the entire roller coaster emotions thing on the romance bit due to all the plots.

Reallllyyyy…. I didn’t read the entire novel because I couldn’t find a solid English version… so only read chapters here and there… yea but I notice many differences with the novel although they did keep the main framework… I really like the FL character though…. Lu Si did a good job in giving it a good balance. The FL is so cool here and at the same time also feminine.

Same!! I thought the exact same thing about not watching it initially too and it reminds me of The Rebel Princess…. Like at least both the novels do on some main points..

LOL. I love that this drama was secretly a comedy… hahahaha. I think they should add a comedy tag to it… I was so surprised when I watched all the comedic scenes… was super. Duper. Funny.

That’s true…. I felt like I got conned…… there defo was a bit of “?!?!?!?” feeling with the entire thing…

They killed her brother too….. she and her biological brother were so cute together…. Although I know he was already dead in the novel…. But still………. And when Han Pu died I was crying so much….. 😭😭
I’m doing the exact same thing too. I rewatched this entire thing due to the emptiness I felt from LLtG ending….

But all these additional arcs are better than the novel imo I.e like the real antagonist… but the novel’s portrayal of the ML is more realistic, they made the ML here very “dreamy”…

I’m rewatching and I still want to comment on how ridiculous the last 15-minutes is. The last fight scene nearly ruined all the good merits of the entire drama. They just allowed the evil dude to die that way….. wth….

Like there was just nothing to it….. esp visually…. I thought I was going to be jammed pack with action.

I just wrote this exact comment in Who Rules the World like a few hrs ago…. I rewatched it because I feel so sad that LLtG ended…. And I defo feel super empty… 😭

Kunlun turned out to be super disappointing. I thought it was going to be similar to Candle in the Tomb….. 😒

Just want to say Zhao LuSi can really cry…. I cry with her in most of the scenes she cries even in other dramas…. It’s just so sad when she cries….. Yang Yang was really no match for her….

Sighs…… I went to rewatch other old dramas to distract myself from depression……. 😥 not even kidding…
