I am from SEA. Grew up watching Cdramas so I understand the politics involved. It's normal that every country has its own media. Look at the Americans and Russians for example, lot of propaganda.
I like this drama, but I am quite disappointed with how the story is, specially since its only 30 episodes. I…
The only thing he could do was invade Yannan and that wasn't going to happen. It's a nomadic tribe/barbarian vs civilized society/Han chinese. You could say it's censorship.
Also JQL's family are useless, depending on her for everything. Father is weak in character and easily frightened, second sister is typical sheltered young woman, and third sister only knows to get angry and get into fights. No wonder FL had to assume a male identity.
I want to see how they resolve this plot point with the paranoid king. Can't see a way for the main leads to live together unless they go to a neutral territory. JQL will always be a pawn if she stays in Yannan. And she's not willing to kill the second branch so how to solve that problem.

I didn't get the feeling that he loves her. He's checking on her to make sure she's safe. Since he has a good chance of losing his head if anything happens to her. After all the king tasked him with protecting her.
The actress has played other roles including a gentle, noble lady. So your comment is a bit harsh.
