I have yet to catch up and watch episode but doesn't rape happen in real life? Should we pretend rape does not…
Nothing wrong with using it as a subject (I find it lazy writing honestly but that’s another discussion), when and only if they handle it correctly! It’s 2025, no entertainment content should be giving of the message thats it’s okay to SA somebody, that they don’t get punished for it, that it’s just something to “get over with”.
There are just too many series where the rapist walks away with no problems. Hell the guy in TharnType orgastrated a gang rape and he just moved to Germany with his sister. Live in Love was the same, that girl tried to orgastrate a gangrape but was caught before something happened. Yet later on the girl was send of abroad to finish her education by her rich daddy. Those are just two examples on the top of my head, if we make a list it will probably be much much more.
If writers want to use SA as a subject be as realistic as possible, don’t use it as some kind of filler episode and then act like the victim has no problems and the perpetrator gets to walk away like nothing happened!
So once again Thai BL turns to SA when they want to have drama in a series? Its starting to get old, there are other freaking ways to create dramatic storylines in series. So over this BS!
I agree. I’m having trouble watching a lot of Thai BL lately. I feel like after so many and finding the good…
I feel the same, Reset is so far the only Thai BL that I watched from start to finish. Though you need to take Bom his acting with a grain of salt, because he overacts his villain role. Sadly there are to many Thai BLs that just disappoint me. I honestly barely even start Gmmtv shows anymore, because it’s all starting to feel the same quality. Beginning is good, but then somewhere in the middle the quality drops, and screenwriters don’t seem to know what to do with the ending. I’ve mostly been watching Japanese, Taiwanese and Chinese BL series, sometimes South Korea also has a good one, but that’s either hit or miss.
Can us fans of the second couple (Wen Lang & Gao Tu) be allowed to enjoy the show and complain if we don’t…
I and many others have no problems with you guys enjoying or favoring the second couple, but a lot of reactions have been putting down the main couple in the same sentence and that’s not fair. We respect the opinions of those who favor the second couple without putting the second couple down, it would be nice to see the same courtesy back!
You can still skip it you know! Watch it when it’s done, you can fast forward all you like. Or wait until somebody…
I mean on the MDL page of We Are, Aou as Tan and Boom as Khaofang are stated as Main Lead, yet in the series they are only Supporting Roles. Mdl can sometimes have it wrong, I don’t know if they are in fact main lead. But the team has been consistent in following the novel, they aren’t much in the novel, only towards the end. To expect them to be, is only going to cause disappointment, even though I do get it.
All who want vex can vex. I am PISSED and I'm gonna write about it😑 I said it from my first comment I don't…
You can still skip it you know! Watch it when it’s done, you can fast forward all you like. Or wait until somebody edited all the scenes of the second couple in a video in YouTube! The second couple has barely any scenes in the novel, people have repeatedly told that over the past 8 weeks, what makes you think thats somehow going to change?
before I go to bed I wanna leave y'all with one question Can Anyone tell me what's the difference between Hua…
Jaemin became crazy with the thought of not having Da On, to the point of actually wanting to harm him, kill him. Hua would never do that, he would kill himself before ever hurting Sheng.
Yes Hua is going through extreme lengths to get Sheng, but my personal opinion is that, he would not become that crazy. Jaemin lost all sense of reality. Hua just understands Sheng, Sheng has a deep commitment issues, thats why he discards the previous Omegas in short order. Hua helps him (in his very unconventional ways) with those commitment issues. Sheng needs somebody to go to through those extreme lengths.
Are we as viewers uncomfortable with how Hua is doing it, sure. But I tend to take it with a grain of salt, Desire is purely fiction, we do not have omegas, Alphas or Enigmas in this world. We do not have means to mess with other peoples pheromones. Hua is also doing this, because he can, he is the highest of the highest in ranking.
Jaemin on the other hand is to me more realistic, we do have his kinds of behaviors in the real world. It makes me have bigger issues with him then what I have with Hua.
So many people on MDL and across social media are complaining about Hua Yong’s character in ABO Desire. Some…
Agreed! This show just shows once again, that people don’t want complex characters, they scream for it. But when we do have such a character in a BL series, people tend to only look what’s on the surface. And get mad, uncomfortable when they only see what they don’t like! Characters like for example Yotha (P10L), Vegas (KinnPorsche), Jaemin (Secret Relationship), Boston (Only Friends), hell even Day (Love Syndrome 3) tend to have a complex background, these characters you can’t just judge on what you see, you need to look deeper. Is Hua problematic, sure. Personally I see it like how some people like to read Dark Romance books, do we want these behaviors in real life, no. But in fiction it’s safe to enjoy. For me, Hua Yong is what makes this series exciting. Watching the trailer I knew what to expect, reading the novel, made me realize what’s to come. From the beginning this series was going to have characters that are toxic, flawed. All 4 of them have their reasons as to why they behave like that, nobody is perfect here. Not even Gao Tu, even though people are trying very hard to justify his actions and behaviors.
Sorry but what do you mean forced "straight" story? You mean they should only have bl couples - or was…
There was no straight couple in the webtoon, they were just friends nothing more. The webtoon consisted of 2 gay couples, the main couple and the second couple was a side story.
We really opened the door for the haters in the name of "i have the right to tell my opnion "
And they do have the right to tell their opinion, but that opinion can still be shared by being respectful, both in their description of the series and talking to other people. Some seem to have lost the part about being respectful towards others.
Hell I’ve had very heated discussions in the P10L or When It Rains It Poors mdl pages , yet we were all still respectful and civil for each others opinions. Discussions were done with elaborated arguments about why somebody felt a certain way. I’m not saying people shouldn’t be sharing their opinions, it just would be nice to see less negativity.
You know, before I would watch an episode of a BL series, then go the MDL and read other peoples opinions, what scenes they liked, if they noticed the same details as me, titbits being shared, things that could be better, theories about why somebody would behave a certain way, etc.
But with this series it’s almost every single week the same, it’s constant arguments about which couple is better, which couple deserves more screening time, statements about not liking one or the other couple, hating this or that character, one episode per week not being enough, etc.
This page just consist almost entirely on negativity, can we stop already? Asking for more screeningtime will not happen, the series has been filmed, it’s been edited, they are not going to film more scenes. The team is following the novel and have been very consistent in it, thats a fact. We will just have to accept the way this series is, some might be disappointed or dissatisfied by it, but thats just the way this series is.
Having said that, can we put a pin in it, these constant arguments make me not want to read the comment section anymore!
You are right, but the scale is different. No way in hell is Gao Tus lying comparable to Hua Yong's. Also, Gao…
If you think Hua could just approach Sheng by being an Enigma, then you don’t understand Sheng or Hua.
To me none are less bad or less good, both are lying. And for me a lie is a lie. Even with the best intentions people still can get hurt. Both Hua and Gao Tu are doing what they think is right for them.
Seriously, they make me not want to read these comments. Constant complaining about the second couple not having…
I do get that and i do agree that it’s been somewhat promoted as both couples having equal screeningtims. But we are 8 episodes in, every single week people have been saying that Gao Tu and Shen don’t have many scenes in the novel. Maybe at some point, you need to adjust your expectations, otherwise you are just going to be disappointed!
SOME fans of the 2nd couple are really insufferable 😕😕
Seriously, they make me not want to read these comments. Constant complaining about the second couple not having enough scenes. The team is following the novel, the second couple had not many moments between them, only towards the end of the book!
I honestly don't get people saying the second couple is more interesting than the main. And frankly I don't want…
Louder!!! Second couple to me are the same damsel in distress storylines we already had in so many other series. I don’t mind them, but they don’t excite nor really interested me. I’m living for the main couple, they are absolutely mesmerizing, new, fresh and mysterious. I like the fact that they are (probably) equally matched in strength, Sheng can hold his own, Hua is probably stronger, but by no means is Sheng weak.
To me this series is just pure fiction, I’m loving the manipulative king that is Hua. I have no problems taking this series with a grain of salt. I like how he handles Sheng, he has a target and is absolutely doing everything he can to reach that target.
