I mean sure a long relationship can go stale and lose their initial passion, but when you are not even trying to change that and just accept it then it’s never going to go back to how things were. Moving the beds further away, is removing any intimacy at night. And with that I don’t mean sex, I’m talking about hugging, spooning or just holding each other. On top of that the constant rejection from her to him, without being actually clear is just making it worse. It’s not that hard to be honest and say hey I’m not feeling it lately, or hey my mood isn’t in it. You say reasonable excuse, I say it’s an lousy excuse.
You wonder if the girlfriend is aware, for me its pretty clear that the girlfriend is moving those beds and putting the nightstand between the beds. That’s a clear sign the gf knows, I rule out the bf because he seems to still want to be intimate and close to her. And those beds don’t move by themselves.
I personally find it easy to end a relationship with somebody I love, maybe it sounds very harsh and cold but I just love me more. I stayed 11 years with a guy all the while sacrificing my own happiness. He’s clearly unhappy, why would you expose yourself to that unhappiness?
But these are all my opinions, it’s clear we differ on those topics, and that is okay!
I'm back my most eloquent, humorous, playful human! Hope you've missed me. #Snigger. As always, you've cut to…
I agree to all of your responses. It’s weird that both men haven’t said something about this, maybe it’s difficult for them to communicate about it. I personally do not understand why Hagi puts up with it, the female partner gives of mixed signals, accepts hugs but makes excuses when it goes further than that. For me the nightstand between the bed just felt extra symbolic, to show just how far apart their physical relationship has become. It felt like an extra layer of “space” between them, an obstacle needed to be removed. It’s not like a spontaneous thing where you are in the mood and you slide the beds back together. (I don’t know if you understand me, I find myself being vague about how I describe it)
I think Sei and Fuji are just roommates with Sei having a one sides love interest, but that does not give Fuji the right to act jealous and give out demands like “dont you dare meet him”. Again mixed signals. I wouldn’t be suprised if we are getting the whole “I only start to notice you, when somebody else pays attention to you” trope from Fuji.
All of them need to learn to communicate. Within my 11 years ex relationship, we both had spells that sex barely happened, but if there was any reason the sex drive was less (or nonexistent), it was communicated. So that a person does not constantly get rejected, which is an awful feeling, you start doubting yourself and if you are even good enough, important enough for said person.
I once, months ago read and responded to your review about Takara’s treasure and it had me thinking. You are right in the fact about what you said back then, young teenagers/young adults have urges because of hormones, etc. It should be normal to want to touch and kiss your partner.
I know you don’t watch Thai series, but I recently said practically the same thing to a friend of mine after watching “Fourever You”. Where there is one couple (who just started dating a couple of weeks back) and one of the partners just shies away from any sort of touch. He meets his partner in a hotel with the guy only wearing a towel when he opens the door. And what does the partner says to him? I kid you not, he said “could you put on a shirt”. He is a young adult, and you react like that when you see your new boyfriend half naked? And it’s not like he is asexual, because in the past they have had heated kissing scenes. It’s just so mind boggling. Sorry I’m rambling. But my friend and I agreed, that it was weird.
Ooooh finally! You put words on my feelings so beautifully. I was kinda disapointed about this Jun - Po - Thame…
See that’s the thing if Jun did it to make Thame jealous and realize his feelings, why did Jun have to make Po doubt himself and the meaning behind that all nighter talking to each other on the phone. Or constantly downplay Po and Thame their interactions between them.
There is no logical reasoning to make Po feel like a fool who thought more of the interaction between Thame and him, unless you want to come between them.
I agree with that Pepper his way of handling it is clearer and causes less problems, it was a much more practical and mature advice.
I also agree with your opinion about it so far being a mature series. This episode felt very much like we were seeing high school kids trying to find out if somebody likes him yes or no, by making that person jealous.
Where is the communication in all of this? Why doesn’t Po just text Thame, telling him, he isn’t wanting the advances Jun is making on him. Or just clearly communicate, hey we are getting closer with each other, I’m getting signals from you, do you like me or am I getting my hopes up?
Episode 4 felt very realistic, if we are talking about starting a relationship. You start by getting to know each other, and sometimes that means you do an all nighter just talking. I have definitely done it with my past relationships. But this episode is just not it for me.
I do hope they wrap this up quickly because I’m not loving the thought of 7 more episodes bickering between Jun/Thame and Po stuck in the middle.
Probably an unpopular opinion but after this episode I felt more irritated and frustrated than the happy feeling I had the past 4 episodes. The whole thing with Jun was just of putting for me.
Clearly both Thame and Po felt uncomfortable, also the group just got back together. Why would you mess with something like that, that can potentially blow up in Jun his face. And indirectly cause tension within the group.
At some point teasing isn’t funny anymore! The moment Po said “it looks like Thame feels uncomfortable, why else is he looking at me like that”. Jun should have stopped. This feels more like a guy who is jealous and tries to actively sabotage Thame and Po.
Why can’t Jun just mind his own business, the way he took Po his phone not ones but twice. I have a problem with that, that’s not your phone, respect the other persons privacy! It would have been different if it maybe was a good friend but Jun and Po just know each other, for what days, weeks? Just why cause this unnecessary tension between Thame and Po? To make Thame jealous? To have him move faster? How about we respect the fact that not everybody moves as fast, let him have his own pace. Why not be more like Pepper who tried to help between Thame and Po.
I dont think for a minute that this has to do with it not being allowed from the company (in house dating) otherwise Pepper wouldn’t have steered Thame towards Po.
For the positive part I liked that Nano listened to Po, it was a beautiful and sincere moment. Though because of the whole Jun bits it felt so rushed. I liked the 5 of them singing together, and teaching Nano new things. I liked how non of the members (or staff) knew how to set up the tent and all the other camping things, but here comes young innocent Nano and just does it all. I’ll probably have more things I liked about this episode, but for now these were the things that stood out for me.
I think Jun was seeing through this relationship and what could some out of it considering Thame being a celebrity…
But that is not his decision to make. And if it was for those reasons just communicate it. Doing these games are just going to blow up in his face and cause indirectly tension within the group. Who just got back together!
but it was cute... esp. him being naughty and teasing both thames and po
Was it though? Like Thame and Po clearly feel uncomfortable, also the group just got back together. Why would you mess with something like that, that can potentially blow up in Jun his face. And indirectly cause tension within the group.
At some point teasing isn’t funny anymore! The moment Po said it looks like Thame feels uncomfortable, why else is he looking at me like that. Jun should have stopped. This feels more like a guy who is jealous and tries to actively sabotage Thame and Po.
Maybe it’s just me, but I’m a bit mad. Even though I really loved ep 16, the fact that this series was supposed to end at episode 16, and they end it with one big flashback of Jonathan his backstory. Like I said, maybe it’s just me but I feel like we could have easily had parts of that flashback earlier in the episodes.
But then again Hill and Ter apparently had center stage and it meant that Johan and North their story was not only shortened but also rushed. Sadly Ter has been so much on screen that just seeing Hill in this episode got me annoyed. Like again that couple needs to take the attention away from Johan and North, let’s repeat the whole sad story of Hill having someone like Ter.
And I know I probably sounds angry, but I just feel like Johan and North had still so much to cover story wise.
Glad that we get a episode 17 but I do hope we get more Johan and North scenes then Hill and Ter!
Tbh i prefer one full episode of jo and North than 13 episodes of boring as hell story of Ter(🤦🏼♀️)…
For me they could’ve better cut that whole flashback in pieces and then just showed every few episodes bits of it. I rather see their back story then that of Hill and Ter!
We can agree that this was a mess right? In good way (the brothers are so dramatic, why did you undress him Fadel?…
I agree. For some time now for me, Joong and Dunk are outshining First and Khao. I cannot seem to connect with the characters Bison and Kant.
I can see the love shared between Fadel and Style, they did that by having beautiful vulnerable moments between them. Them talking about losing a parents and finding similar experiences with that. Style being himself even while knowing Fadel is a hitman, slowly breaking the walls Fadel has around himself. And even at the end of ep 7, he didn’t seem scared of Fadel, he looked undaunted by the gun Fadel was waving. He accepted that it was time for the truth to come out and accept his fate. Style feels at times just as unhinged as the brothers, like who stands up from his safety cover to yell at Fadel “take that back Im your boyfriend” while a idiot is waving his gun around. Also Style knows how easy Fadel can snap fingers, hands and arms if it’s needed, when he beat up those guys after the club scent, but again Style was not afraid. The only moment I saw him afraid was after Kant told him, and that was only for few hours it seems.
The same as you I can’t see Bison and Kant as a romantic couple, maybe because of the way Kant went about getting information out of them. For me it seems like they had fun together, but if feels like non of it was genuine, all had the goal of getting closer to Bison and the information that set Kant “free”. I couldn’t take Kant crying next to the hospital bed where Bison was in, serious. Normally i really love First his emotional scenes, same with Khao, but the scene just felt flat.
I’m hoping that it will change in the next few episodes.
No remorse is where you're wrong Fadel and bison love them too much remember fadel's words betrayal is what hurts…
Im sorry, it wasn’t meant as a blow up rant. More my opinion of what I thought about it, because you are right. it’s harder to enact their revenge when they are alone.
No remorse is where you're wrong Fadel and bison love them too much remember fadel's words betrayal is what hurts…
Fadel can snap vingers and arms, with just a twist of the legs, you teally think he wouldn’t have seriously hurt Style if he needed to. For me it’s clear as daylight that he used himself needing to find Bison as an excuse. What do you mean he needs Style, especially after the tidbit Style shared about Bison actually taking Kant and not the other way round. You don’t think they both have escape plans or back ups for if something goes wrong. Bison and Fadel already talked about Bison having an Island. I think for a Hitman that is Fadel it would have been easy to find Bison. Also remember how Bison told Fadel that he asked Sand to get someone to distract Fadel, that fits with what Style told Fadel when Fadel held Style at gunpoint. Maybe Fadel still has some hope for Style.
He was like: I'll drive my hitman boo whatever the circumstances. 🔫 And his little smiles and smirks in the…
This, Style has said he likes this side of Fadel, the dark, mysterious alluring. He has scared just after Kant told him they were hitman, but he was already too far in at that point, no matter how many times Kant told him not to fall for Fadel. Two episodes ago Style said to Fadel that he made him feel safe and scared at times. I think he’s gotten used to Fadel his moods, and he has seen first hand how easy Fadel can snap arms and vingers (the fight after the club scene, where Fadel beat up 4 guys). I wouldn’t be suprised if Style is thinking the more time I have, the more I can show him that it was me all along, no masks etc.
THE BOWLING SCENE I'M FUCKING DYINGGGG DUNK NATACHAI THE ACTOR THAT YOU ARE
“Take that back!! I’m your boyfriend!!” Like it should have told Fadel everything he needed to know about Style and to who he is loyal. Which person would say that while a guy is swinging with a gun? Instead of staying covert?
The scene of our leads using sign language to one another at the crosswalk had me so stressed out, I seriously…
During that whole scene I was saying out loud don’t stop in the middle of the road, go walk to the side. The stress I endured 😂 I’m kind of glad I wasn’t the only one, who felt like that!
It's over. It's really over. I can only pray for a special episode 🙏 Ugh! I still don't like Sean's father.…
I agree with everything you wrote. Maybe I’m just seeing things from my own parents back in the father of Zi Xiang, but for there was no love in that bit like the dad of Shao Peng said. That was all control and nothing more, with a hint of homophobia in it. Planning out your child’s entire future isn’t love, it’s control.
The difference between the dad of Shao Peng and the father of Zi Xiang is were the dad was shocked at first but accepted Zi Xiang warmly in the family, after he saw how he treated his son and how happy Shao Peng was. The father did non of those things, saying things like aren’t you embarrassed, saying that Shao Peng is handicapped (even if he didn’t finish the sentence). I kind of would have liked to see Zi Xiang confront his father, but alas. It’s clear that the father was used to getting his way and when somebody tells him the hard truth, he throws a temper tantrum (knocking over the cup) and raises his voice. You start to question how many times Zi Xiang had to endure those moods of his father.
I have no doubt that Zi Xiang set back was triggered by his father, hearing all those things from his father wouldn’t be easy. Thankfully he has a very supportive partner who gives him all the time he needs.
I would have liked to see more of Jonathan and Wang Xin Jia. Didn’t care much for the story of Zi Cheng, to me the character felt like a mix of a one sided lover and a jealous desperate man. Still don’t get what the whole deal was with him. The storyline of Jessica or/and Song Shuhee was flimsy at best.
I feel sad because this was a series I could watch season after season of. I hope we get a special episode, because from the pictures in the after credits it looked like Shao Peng and Zi Xiang were engaged.
OMG!!!! Never thought that Taiwanese BL’s was like that!!?! Literally 🔥,too spicy for my heart. Our dream…
Personally I loved unknown, but not everybody liked it because it had a sort of step brothers trope in it. Orphan boy tries to take care of his sister but takes in another kid who lived on the streets. Throughout the series you follow those 3 including a friend of the orphan boy, you see them grow up and struggle with life and love.
Also one of my recent favorites is See Your Love, which next Wednesday has the last episode that airs. Zi Xiang is sent to Taiwan for business negotiations by his father, but during the trip he gets ambushed and gets hurt. He ask his capable assistant, Feng Jie, to hire Shao Peng as his caretaker, Shao Peng, who has problems finding a job because of his deafness and muteness, accepts the job offer. Slowly the two become closer and to try to understand and communicate with Shao Peng better Zi Xiang learns sign language.
It’s really a beautiful series, even if the first 3 episodes might frustrate you. The acting between them is beautiful, the two actors just make it seem so effortless. Their chemistry is breathtaking to watch. And the emotional scenes you feel them in your heart. I was especially impressed with Yin Yung (he plays the character Shao Peng), who did this whole series without saying a word, only the emotions on his face and the use of his hands, but with that he put a masterpiece on screen.
For both this was their first big role, Raiden Lin (Zi Xiang) played apparently in unknown as an office worker but that was a small support role. For practically rookies they just rocked it out of the park. If you liked Last Twilight you are probably going to like this one too!
