Watched this a while ago but still wanted to leave behind a small review. The movie on it's own is actually not that bad, as an adaptation though it fails to deliver. It's a very grim movie and it makes me wonder why they chose this direction. Jojo is known for being colorful, bright and bizarre. Non of that was relevant here. I've seen edits of people adding the anime ost to some of the scenes and it immediately feels a lot more alive, for reference:

In overall it was alright. I'd only recommend it if you want to watch for a specific actor or if you're just curious about how this live action turned out but don't expect a jojo feel out of it.
Side note: Nana Komatsu is absolutely gorgeous

It's a rather short asadora
Asadoras (Japanese morning dramas) are always lengthy. I think zzz meant that this one is definitely shorter than your usual asadora. All the older ones are up to 156 episodes but since 2020 NHK decided to go from 6 to 5 episodes per week so now the maximum is 130 episodes ^^

The only drama of NJK which I felt he was paired with the correct FL….This pair of NJK+LSK is perfectly matched…
Agreed. Also one of the main reasons I stopped watching 2521

So am I the only one that isn't feeling it? I find it hard to believe that there isn't someone else with some criticism, all I see is praise. The chemistry between the cast is really not there for me at all. Taeri's portrayal as an 18 year old feels too forced. The drama is set in the early 90s yet it doesn't give those nostalgia vibes. The acting in general feels very bland, especially Bona she has shown the same facial expressions in every episode. Reason why I'm bitter is because Taeri is my fave actress and I was looking forward to her drama comeback but this is her worst work so far. The story isn't really the issue for me but the execution of it, I feel like this could've been good if it was approached differently with a better cast. It's at least not boring and watchable but I'm not going to stick around for 12 more hours

This was great!! Everything about it was executed so well and the cast is perfect!! I loved it. Really something they should show to teenagers in high school

Title The Untamed
Each person has different perspectives of the drama. I admit that some aspects are not perfect (cgi, fighting…
Please I'm not going to argue about this, everyone knows what I mean with objective. You can clearly see what a good acting performance vs a bad one is there's nothing subjective about it it's a fact. Anyways I'm not here to start discussions so can people not reply to this post I just wanted to share that review for new people so that they can read the bad sides about it too

Edit: Changed my comment a bit because you misunderstood me, I was never talking about The Untamed here I meant in general. And my reply was mostly directed to the first version of your comment, in my eyes I saw a whole paragraph about objective vs subjective and that's why I snapped a bit because I'm really not up for a debate like that. Non of what I said is supposed to be taken this seriously

Just finished watching. The highs of this drama were a 10/10 so I definitely get the hype, there was a point where I couldn't stop watching and didn't want to miss a single dialogue. But around the episode 30 mark is where it went to a 8/10 for me, still good but not nearly as good as the buildup in the initial episodes. In overall a solid drama, this is one of the few times where the whole cast was perfect to me

Were there a lot of relevant scenes? Do I need to watch them somewhere else or is it okay to miss out on them…
I found a list of all the episodes with Zhang Zhe Han in it so I won't be watching those on the original yt channel but somewhere else. For those that want to know these are the episodes: 3, 9, 12, 16, 23, 27, 40, 42 and 43
