i dont know much abt badminton but it would have been nice to show some real moves ur ryt yess everything blended…
I've been playing sports all my life (mostly Badminton, Tennis, Table Tennis, Football and Taekwondo) so it falls right up my alley. I almost pursued badminton professionally as well xD I'd have liked Racket Boys a lot more if it did with Prince of Tennis did, put a lot of focus on the sports itself in some episodes.
For me the show didn't have much badminton actually. I wanted to watch longer matches with more technical playing. They always cut them short and just showed smashes for some reasons :( Badminton's such a technical sport and there's so much deception and trickery in it, it'd have been brilliant to watch them instead of generic smashes.
Other than that, it was such a fun show. At times it was tear jerking, I liked that they infused so many elements into one show.
I think it is a privilege to know one's family history, especially if part of your heritage has not been recorded…
"1/8 Russian means that his grandparent's father or mother is Russian. What is so special about that to mention?" - I'm sorry but that doesn't extend upto 500 years. Heck not even 100 years. The generation doesn't fall that back. It's 2 generations behind. My Great grandfather was alive just until a few years ago and I was 25 then. Don't be so judgemental. 1/8th Russian makes exact sense.
amen on everything but especially gumoho trope dying off pronto! Korea has rich mythology yet it's gumiho 85%…
There was also Mama and the Fairy Woodcutter. The drama wasn't good but it had plethora of supernatural beings. Wish they'd make shows involving beings like Haechi, Bonghwang, Inmyeonjo etc.
Do not watch this show. It'll make you ship a specific couple the whole time and destroy your hopes and dreams in the final episode. I'm still so salty over that ending. reee
