I'm frustrated that I didn't watch this show earlier mainly because My Day was such a mess it turned me off from PH BLs, but I was recommend this by a friend of mine who said it's gonna be very different to a typical BL. And how right she was!

The best thing about this show -> It's NOT a BL. It's a coming of age story. The show is more than a show that exists to satisfy the needs of straight teen girls who love to ship cute guys together. In fact the show makes a strong statement against these "allies" and how their "supportive" behaviour are incredibly toxic rather than being helpful to us LBGQT people. I loved that they tackled microaggression and how hurtful it can be. This show has made me excited for the upcoming My Ride (Thai BL) as well because that one also tackles similar topic as this one rather than just being a typical BL drama.

One of the highlights of the drama was the usage of music. The score and the OST were one of the strongest point of the drama, while the sound editing and mixing could do some work (in some scenes, you can actually hear background noises, but nothing major) it doesn't take away from well made the show as a whole was.

Lastly, I have to say Vlad is the best gay character I've seen in an Asian gay/BL show ever. His eloquence is what makes him so likeable. While he hides his primary traits behind a snarky persona, this just adds more to his likeable factor.

Well if so then I'm REALLY thankful he didn't implement the toxic side of Thai BLs and instead used them to make a statement in this one.

They changed the algorithm to calculate aggregates. So the rating has decreased for almost every show out there.

Or maybe we can actually get a S2! The recent episode reached over 7% rating, which is incredible. So a S2 could be possible!

It was jam packed in the recent episode when they were open though even without the queue and it's just a cover for their counter activities.

The couples are:
1. Victoria & Tony - For most of the episode, Victoria's hung up on Zhang Hao Wei's character, but she soon falls for Tony so they kinda end up together. It's not fixed because it's open ended.
2. Celina & Ryan - no they don't end up together. Instead there's a strong implication that Celina ends up with another guy at the end.
3. Karlina & Li Xin - yes, they end up together.
4. Frida - At the beginning, she still has lingering feelings for David Wang, who's her ex-husband. But she falls in love with Shi An and ends up with him by the end.

You should watch OCN dramas more in general. They don't follow typical Kdrama conventions so they always end up with quality projects that lack tropes.

The recent two episodes were superb. It might seem slow to some, but they're crucial episodes for plot building. They're finally weaving all the threads together. Cannot wait for how it'll all tie in to their role as counters.

Also the ending to ep 6. WOAH THAT ENDING. Lord GIMME EPISODE 7 AND 8 ASAP OR I'M GONNA GO CRAZY! F*** I cannot believe we have to wait for another week to watch the next episode omg this isn't fair!!!!!!!!!! *sobs*

Even so, it'd not erase the homophobic behaviour he has imposed on Chon. If I was Chon, I'd ditch his moron and find a good man who treats me well instead.

Agreed about what you said about loving someone homophobic but tbh most of this show feels like a satire (I mean look at the character of Na, they're basically mocking the trope).

And honestly, I wouldn't recommend ITSAY because it's such a heavy handed show. I watched it and it left me completely exhausted and depressed. Too much angst. I'd rather watch something lighter.

Ton is visually SO HOT but oh lord, he's so fucking dense. Makes me wanna bash his heads in. His hotness is completely destroyed by how annoying he is.

He might have been a really bad person due to the accusation of animal cruelty, sexual harrassment etc. (in fact I'll say he was!) but you can't deny that he has some excellent films, some of the best even in SK industry - 3 Irons, the Bow, Breath, Pieta etc.

I remember watching the Bow for the first. It was mesmerising. It's one of the first movie that influenced me to admire the arthouse genre.

Same tbh this same plot has been used so many times in so many languages. It's beyond cliched now.

If you enjoyed the dramas listed here, then you definitely will enjoy Into the Ring.

Just wait. Once it's out on Netflix, it'll get uploaded somewhere else as well like every other Netflix releases.

It's coming on Netflix later this month. Cannot wait.

I came here thinking it's a BL. Damn the immense disappointing I'm feeling rn

One of the better BLs of the year. It's still going on strong, albeit slow. I think it could be even better as a 1 hour episode show. The cliffhanger endings are painful every week.
