I should try to understand why people like a person raping another person?
Yes, I do think numerous people think this kind of behaviour is okay in real life.
I know it's not only BL, but in other media, sexual assault is portrayed in a negative light. It's the taboo, it's a crime. In BLs? No. It's considered a norm, there's no boundaries. It stems from an area of sexism I'd say in fact because I'll guarantee you, these women would never like this if one of the person involved was a woman, but it's all okay when it's men.
Ask yourself, would you be okay if a hetero show showed a man raping a woman and that being portrayed as completely normal?
It's not. But when you see people worshiping such toxicity, it becomes problematic. Remember young people are very impressionable and some people even as they age don't grow out of this mindset. It's arrested development. It's why such toxicity shouldn't be romanticised.
Yeah, you're right. It did jump back and forth. But, you know, that's how romcoms end. I actually liked the ending.…
LOL I couldn't focus on the scene at all due to his hair as I kept glancing at it. Especially since it was acting like a sheathe protecting his face from the rain xD I actually had to rewatch the scene again just to understand what they were saying a second time LOL
As someone who loved the show since the beginning, I'm very disappointed at how this ended.
The finale was VERY disappointing. It was so frigging rushed. Character development was popping out of nowhere for Ace's father and Moira even though just the previous episode they were like "Hell NO!" and complete contrarian. I wish they had been progressing towards this ending from the past few episodes instead of cramming everything into just 1 highly condensed episode. Like are you telling me Moira's poisoning of Sky, which is attempted murder, won't result in her jail time and instead they hug it out? Dafuq was that mess?
Also don't get me wrong, but the final 2 episode was far too melodramatic for me that I just couldn't take it seriously. It was jumping back and forth between trying to be Disney and trying to be Shakespearean. During the whole Ace-Sky hospital parting scene, I couldn't help but chuckle as it was so over the top melodrama.
Lol they definitely are crazy! I think I am realizing my definition of average is different from some. The article…
I did say Im Soo Hyang had tendencies to be immature, I was referring to her decisions regarding Jang Ki Yong's character throughout the drama and her inability to face her feelings. All the 3 leads in the drama had their bouts of immaturity in their personal life in that drama.
JMW also showed quite a lot of immaturity at times too imo like her tendency to spend profusely without thinking. Her obsession with that mukbang man, she was also very short tempered most of the time. Also I think in her past, her final confrontation with the guy (I forgot the actor's name, pardon me lol) was quite impulsive. She went with the urgency to kill and be killed. Also I drew the superficial comparison because they all fall under a similar trope of well dressed women, often with jaded past, usually viewed as "badass" chicks with sharp tongue and cynical view of the world. Like I know, at depth there are differences, but what I meant was they still fall under the same archetype, which is becoming "common" in Kdramas.
This is a controversial opinion: But imo JMW didn't fall in love with the ML in a romantic way . Personally to me it felt more like she built up a lot of respect and admiration and platonic love towards him.
Again this is just how I viewed her relationship with the ML in HDL.

PS: Someone should cut off Sky's hair lol during the final confrontation scene in the rain, his hair was very distracting xD
