Very cute, sweet, short drama. IDC about the storyline being messy because I watched this for the chemistry between the two leads and it didn't disappoint at all.
Also Hyori <3 We need more females like her in BLs. Someone who gives good advice and is mature. Thai BLs could learn a thing or two.
One of the biggest thing I hate about Kdramas are when they cast popular people and neglect the writing. It's an insult imo 'cause they think they can reel in ratings with just popular people and get away with subpar inconsistent writing. Most of the most popular Kdramas fall victim to this problem from CLOY to Encounter to DotS etc.
I strongly agree with #1 ex."The World of the Married" it could have ended at 6ep & I would have been happy but…
Crash Landing on You is a meme drama. It's cringy throughout and it's far too long. The drama could've ended in 10 episodes but they dragged it out and ruined it even more. The most meme moment was when in episode 4 when they try to run away from the soldiers using a parachute. Epic Bollywood-like moment which made me ROFL.
I didn't like My ID is Gangnam Beauty much, but what I did like was Cha Eunwoo's character being perceptive and straight forward with everything from his dislike for the deceptive girl to his feelings for the female lead. He doesn't hide anything. I absolutely abhor it when characters are stupid and fall for the most obvious facade.
Something About 1% was a very nice watch too. Short and sweet despite it being full of cliches.
Now we need a list with the opposite gender. I nominate Won Jinah's character from Just Between Lovers to be on the list.
Interesting.... This is a common trope in Japanese doramas, at least in shojo manga derived dramas . Such a character…
"I am surprised that Korean dramas don't commonly have male tsunderes." - This statement couldn't be more wrong lol I can tell you through my 16 years of Kdrama experience - Majority of the male leads are classic case of Tsundere.
I'm trying not to make any judgements until the end of the drama. Honestly, I don't think the writers would put…
"she is in no way his mother" - That shouldn't matter when she has his mother's body. Can you imagine being in a romantic relationship with someone who looks exactly the SAME as your mother or father or brother? If not then "not his mother" should NOT matter because the idea itself is grotesque and the writers should be ashamed of promoting such sick notions.
Okay, here's where I stop. The supposed romance between the two leads gives me shivers. It's disgusting. She's not his mother? IRRELEVANT, she still LOOKS THE SAME as her. The "not his mother" excuses are just so badly thoughtout.
Not to mention the amount of plotholes that are becoming glaringly obvious. It's insulting as a viewer.
The production quality is very high. The places they shot at were beautiful, I wonder where was this drama shot. I've never seem such exotic places in any other Cdramas. I wonder where the FL's home and ML's grandmother's home are.
Anyway, I really liked how rich and expensive the two leads looked LOL They both looked unapproachable due to this and they really suited each other. It could've been shorter and the FL could've had more maturity but it was a fun drama all in all. It's nothing extraordinary, the writing is cliched, but it's nowhere bad as people are making it out to be. It's your typical cheesy Chinese romcom.
IMO The worst part was the ML's sister and her random pairing with the idol guy. The other girl should've been with him, she was a better character than the annoying, bratty, slap worthy sister but they ruined the other girl's character smh
