The only thing that works for me (after reading the novel - manhua / watching the anime and all the BTS, following the actors and have a gc :D) is reading other chinese BL. Fortunetly, Mdzs isn't the only gem out there and even if my top 1 pair is still WangXian, I got really attached to other stories and pairs >3 Some will even have a drama adaptation next year :)

I disagree with the answers. It's pretty rare to not see "beautiful/handsome" or "attractive" men or women in drama, particularly if there is a romance. Even if beauty is subjective, we tend to like the same standards. The romance of tiger and rose, eternal love, crash landing on you, 2gether...the last ones I've watched & I only see attractive lead cast...I don't understand why we should compare actors/actresses between each other though. Ofc they'll still have a top beauty but the majority still lie on the top beauty standards :)
