I can't answer because the same was happening with joy of life one week ago for me. 9.2 and was lower than 9.0 drama in the list. It was a little bit confusing.
When I commented about that issue, everyone found it logical. Happy I'm not the only one finding this matter odd :p

The best after The Untamed, is Sotus the series ( light-hearted/cute). The second season Sotus S is just so so unfortunetly, but still pleasant to see them again if you're a fan. Same style as Sotus "Love by chance" and "2 moons" (these two just average for me when you knew BL well).
Among my favs are the "History2 Boundary crossing and right or wrong". History3 trapped isn't my cup of tea though (no chemistry but it's just my pov).
Same style as The Untamed "Guardian" (bromance).
If you're looking for skinship, you can watch "TharnType". Love/hate relationship, kind of cliché but still they're pretty at ease when together.
And if you want to laugh, you have Ossan's love from Japan.

I highly recommend u to read BL Chinese novels :) There are some gems (translated in eng).

I'm getting into it more and more :) Park Seo Joon and Kim Da Mi are doing an awesome job. I just hope It'll be that kind of drama full of emotions untfil the end.

The genre is fantasy/action/drama/ bromance. Now if you ask my pov about the relationship between the main leads, yes it's crystal clear they have a thing for each other but if you compare to other BL here, the Untamed is different, no kisses, no "I love you", you need to read between the lines, it's more subtle than other drama but believe me, it's worth it!

I don't know if I should be excited or not ! I'm so afraid that It will not reach my expectations, but still I want to be there from the start (was not for CQL and I still regret it lol). We were so lucky for CQL that I don't dare to hope too much for the next BL adaptations like MXTX other novels. So I'm conflicted right now xD
