He appears to be a performing arts student. It does look like he's been in 1 or 2 film productions of some sort before - but they are likely student works and I havent seen them released anywhere online.
And lol, I don't think he expected to blow up like he did, besides disabling comments on his IG anyway 😂
Clicked on his profile because I love him as Milk (& I wanted to see more of his dramas) and I see he never had…
Strongberry often gets students/recent graduates in their productions - so it's quite possible he hasn't had any roles before. And if he does, probably small indie films.
Oh, I thought we would get another one before the timeslot ends, cause Mr Unlucky premiered in april, so there…
Oh i didnt think you were! And i hope i didnt come off that way either.
This one was planned for a while, it just came out with its promo stuff much later - making it less hyped. But there hasnt been any news of a potential 6th that im aware of, so i do believe this is the last title - even if its ending falls short of the year allotted
I mean, considering how successful this was (at least from what I saw anyway), we might see a similar project again. And other BLs might have an easier time getting funding/sponsors. So I think this could be a great step to getting more Japanese BLs, even if the project is over after this one.
Japan's MBS Broadcast Company Drama Shower time slot is coming to its end with this drama. We've been seeing a variety of (mostly) lighthearted short BLs come out of it that have won the hearts of many viewers:
2 taking place within high school, 1 within college, and (now) 2 in the workplace. All so far have involved some form of a secret crush or idolization. And all have involved a blossoming romance between one popular/extroverted guy and a socially awkward/introverted one.
This drama appears like it will fit right in. While our central narrative protagonist doesn't seem to have a crush on or idolize his soon-to-be love interest - in fact, he flip-flops between genuine animosity and rogue curiosity - there are a few hints that suggest that the other one already does or is fast developing one.
We still have that manga-like awkwardness and dramatics with both leads. In fact, it's a breed of awkwardness that's not entirely unlike that of "Takara Kun to Amagi Kun"; which makes it a bit of a hard-sell for characters of this age.
I have a few nitpicky issues (such as, what paparazzi-esque reporter doesn't have their zooming lens ready to go when on a stake-out?), but overall don't have a strong positive OR negative opinion on this one yet.
-Episode 1-
*Officially streaming on GagaOOlala and Viki (although Viki tends to be slightly behind).
We should all go to Viki and Netflix and request this title. Maybe with enough demand, they can negotiate another streaming platform. Both of them have request forms that are easily searchable.
I do wonder if we have to watch all 3 series to understand the others.? They seem like separate stories but who…
I'm pretty sure they're separated in plot. They're just united by theme (life after dark) and possibly in the same storyworld. But their pilot trailers were all distinctly separated from each other.
we need the time the episode comes out to add a timer, if it shows 13 - it is from sources that have been accepted
Usually a wrong time is the result of people not taking into account time zones from their sources.
Also, MDL uses the earliest date and time, so if there’s a scheduled delay between airing on TV and the replay being available on streaming, it will go with the TV time. Same too if the production team decides to do an early screening earlier in the day.
From their youtube community posts: "With the newest member of My Story cast, Hiro Shimoji. Along with our producer…
They just made another community post yesterday about welcoming a new cast member (Hugo) to the Philippines with the hashtag MyStory. So doesnt seem like theyve started filming yet, but its still moving forward.
Honestly, I wonder if it's supposed to be set in the past? Or some rendition of/throwback to the past?

Theyre trying to kill me. 🙃
Maybe theyll run reruns or behind the scenes episodes? Or maybe they started off the time slot with an already aired drama?🤷♀️
