why do they dub voice of different artist in cdrama. i cant understand
Dubbing in general is done for many reasons. As far as why a different person, specifically: - Accents/dialects - The right sound for the character traits - Actor’s schedule couldn't accommodate going into a recording studio.
China likes to keep the accents/dialects, especially in historicals, consistent. They also may like how an actor performs, but not their voice acting, or believe their voice doesnt line up with the character (pretty notorious among many female characters who they try to make sound excessively cute and innocent). Or sometimes they only have a certain actor for their visuals, not talent, because it’s a way to secure funding and hype - and then they get a voice actor to make up for some of that. And then many actor’s schedules are so jam packed, that they cant go into a recording studio later/at the time they are recording (because the original audio files are often no good since many productions have to use the same filming locations at the same time).
i guess its really done for. looks like we'll be waiting a while for a decent gl drama.
There's been a few now (and several that are currently filming): GAP (currently airing, I see it's on your PTW) She Makes My Heart Flutter Girlfriend Project Day 1 75 Degrees Celsius Sleep With Me Tsukuritai Onna to Tabetai Onna Pearl Next Door The Girls on Rela (an ad anthology, but has 2 seasons).
It's a bit odd. They're releasing the script for fans to purchase. And the teaser is explicitly stated to be promoting the script, not a drama: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjAsFyzNh7w
Is this a strategy to get funding? Or are they closing? This was the last thing they posted on their YouTube in 6 months.
Trailer was posted April 2021: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsfooeX_vnU Along with the message: I really don't know if I can do it because there are so many problems, but I will fight, I will not give up, I will fight to the max
According to comments, it looks it got halted by funding problems.
Reincarnation. Curses. Immortality. I've always loved these plots. So I am both biased, and very experienced with similar stories. I wonder which one will win out?
Also, why does this feel like a Korean version of Japanese BL? 😂😂 I'm having to rewire my brain a bit. I'm enjoying it though! A straightforward no-time-wasted short series.
Officially released on IQIYI. 1st episode is free, 2nd is VIP.
I did some digging. Sprite has 100% left the production. All messages referring to her being back are in reference to her being back on social media. It doesn't look like they had gotten to filming her scenes, so there aren't any scenes of hers to potentially keep.
Before this announcement, we were still expecting it to go on YT, but on a delay like theyd done with past series.

Put on hiatus once COVID started.

They were filming in 2021, but have been quiet for almost a year.
