Love is for suckers
Suck is for lovers
And after the first 5 minutes... why's Choi Si-won wearing ear pods and also holding his hand phone to his ear?

why are people forcing themselves to watch dramas they find boring? I don't understand the mentality. Why put…
I guess... if it really happened 🙄. I guess subtlety isn't possible in a short message. In the scene I described, I was playing the role of the op... never mind, I give up 😪

I hear you. This reminds me of a conversation I had with my sister! All I said was that Blackpink's music was boring but I hadn't listened to it because it was boring. She said, "That makes no sense, shut the fuck up you idiot, you can't say it's boring if you haven't fucking listened to it, dipshit!". Some people are so easily triggered.

any romance ?
Thanks. I'll keep my eye out for it, saw Carter too - one of those video game shoot-em-ups, super exciting, nicely done!

It's a pity the blurb for this movie contains a spoiler. Good film, I would have liked to discover the story at pace with the narrative.

So many fine nuances. There were many times he demonstrated the issues with being married to a beautiful woman. It's not as if he wasn't bothered... he was, but battled his demons, rationalised and trusted - it's not new to him, he's been there before and he was philosophical about it. Kudos, you reminded me what a great drama this was!

I heard this was good. But 50 episode dramas always start magnificently, then peter out by half way. Last I watched was Revolutionary Sisters, the moment they stopped using the theme music by Lee Nal-chi it turned to pure soap opera - but the first 15-20 episodes were fabulous.

VVLB drama. Very very low budget. I think they threw the cat around in a few scenes too! But some great parts: I love animals in dramas, Song Ji-eun is absolutely charming - really lovely, and I just realised the leading man is Park Shin-hye's baby's abeonim, recognised him from Secret Partner. They all punched above their weight here, with not much to go on they did well. One or two roles appear to have been filled by amateur dramatics, the mum for example had no idea how to hold her mark. All in all, with short episodes, a pleasant, good natured watch.

The site that most people watch this on (VIKI) didn't release the latest episode yet. Not sure what the reason…
I've said all I want to say. It's almost as if you can't understand anything I wrote. Everything you just added points to one thing: Viki subtitles need a professional in charge - someone with an appreciation and respect for films and drama, with professional integrity and who is not childish. As you said, the amateurs just can't handle it; they have no clue about presentation or taste - that's right: Viki Subtitle teams have no taste.

Was it supposed to be 14 episodes from the start?
No, it was 16, doesn't bode well

Oh another thing... emergency in Korea is 119, right? It's written on the ambulance, it's what they dial on the screen. WHY is it translated as 911???? We're watching scenes from Korea, not the US. That's an error.

"I dont get what you said about subtitle timing" Why don't you get it? Nobody considers their everyday jobs as being special enough to boast about - unless they're extreme narcissists. Does a person doing it for free think it's worth mentioning? If so, I don't want that person doing it.

"the idea of a community-based streaming site" is fine. It's ended up as a cult, a clique where the 'community' doesn't follow the rules of subtitling and nobody's allowed to say WtF?! As we've seen in other comments, people feel too guilty to complain.

They're not even that good, the subtitles, I spot errors in every program. It took until ep.10 for them to realise that 'super vision' has a completely different meaning to 'supervision'. And what does the word b****** mean? I don't care about mistakes in English, it's fault-tolerant, but I do care that they can't be mature about their work - therefore I'd like a professional service.

I prefer professional service, I don't want a charity service run by volunteers. I pay for it. It's inferior to every other provider. The only things that should be subtitled are dialogue, text and maybe occasional song lyrics but only if pertinent in some way.
A line of subtitle should never stretch across the whole width of the screen. There are basic rules for subtitling that the Viki 'rebels' feel they can ignore because they're not being paid. Subs are not a notice board for distracting the viewers and altering the impact of the work. It's rude and annoying. Enough said, I'm starting to repeat myself - hopefully there won't be any more repetitive replies.
Edit: don't go into the technicalities, it's pretty simple, most people do know what a segmenter is and what the timing is. "Timing and subtitles"? The person that did the timing felt the need for a credit? It shows how unprofessional they are, someone who did subtitle timing as a job wouldn't rate it as worth the slightest mention. Like an office secretary putting down "dialing, transferring and pressing the hold button on telephone calls" on their resumé. The ticket office at a train station: "spacing and words by the terrific tickets team" written on every ticket? Yuk. Sorry! Just my opinion. Those are my professional standards.
