Help. I'm trying to follow this drama but I'm so lost. I'm on episode 5 and can't follow what is happening...…
I know what you mean! It would be ok to binge watch, but when a week goes by and they then repeatedly mention a specific name in the next episode, you start thinking, hold on! What have I missed?? The answer is: nothing. Go with the flow and enjoy the antics, don't get hung up on the unexplained or it will spoil the fun, we're all in the same boat, it will unravel eventually.
Edit: to summarise, Detective/CEO is tracking down a lost necklace that belonged to his mother - he's investigating her death. He's put himself in an executive position close to those he suspects. He has assembled a quirky team of partners and confidants. They generally pick up leads here and there and follow them up. There are side issues, blind dates, friends in distress and so on. All the clues will eventually come together at some point, I imagine.
It might have been penned for 16 episodes but then cropped to 12, so some of the narrative might lack continuity - as I said, it doesn't really matter, it's a good natured crime caper to be enjoyed without worrying too much about the fine details.
Can you show me the part where they say he is rich pls? Thx
Ha, true - don't get me wrong, I hope he's rich, charming, kind and lovely, and thinks, feels and laughs on the same wavelength as Won-hee. I want a true life K-romance for them.
Did you watch the whole drama or just a few scenes?
If you're not interested in the drama, why do you care what the characters do? Caring about the characters means you are interested. If you're not interested but you care about their chemistry, surely you'll also care as much about the chemistry of random couples on a bus?
Yes, the Catholics are hypocrites it's part of the religion (me too, I'm one, no trolling please). I like the…
You didn't get any of my points. Likewise, I don't have a clue where you're coming from. I'm well aware of the facts of this drama, seems the nuances went straight over your head. Lol?
I've Never heard of this actress or seen any of her work But happy for her all the same
Try Welcome To Waikiki. She got noticed in Strongest Delivery Man, but I think in Waikiki she really shone. I'd like to see her try some edgy, darker roles, maybe she wants lay off romances as a newly married woman (noting her upcoming Netflix title looks like a romance!)
Why do some fans here are so bothered with telling other people what they should do here? You won't change other…
Agree, there's no utility in attacking the commenter and saying unconstructive things like "why are you watching then?", all views are welcome. But.... isn't this an example of what you're complaining about?: "you just look like a delulu fan"
You have to turn off your critical eye and logic for this drama in order to enjoy it, which I did and now I am…
Thanks for the reply, good dramas. It's possible similar criticisms could be applied to those too though - I think you've taken a disliking to GJ, it's charms aren't working on you - that's fine, it happens to us all. It's not exactly failing in the areas you point out, but perhaps it's serving them up with a well portioned pinch of salt. Maybe lighten up a bit?
This drama does many things well, for example ji Chang wook's wonderful portrayal of a male victim of repeated…
Yes, the Catholics are hypocrites it's part of the religion (me too, I'm one, no trolling please). I like the first part of your comment, 2nd paragraph not so much - because I don't attribute forgiving to just Catholics, all religions believe in it - and I don't see any problem with K-drama observations, they rightfully don't forgive the bad guys and ensure they get their just rewards on many occasions.
How about the scene where the thug who's chasing Gyeo-re found a moment of happiness with Joon-kyung? Wasn't it one of the saddest and most touching things you could see, the heart that lives below the pit of hell fire it's immersed in? What if things had been different for him? K-dramas are incredible.
I can't believe you watch with timed comments! That drives me nuts, turned it off years ago
You just nailed it on the head - people that scramble to add comments are not paying attention to what they're watching! What's next I wonder...? Timed sound effects - popcorn, noisy bags of sweets, somebody farting. I can't believe they're even allowed to paste their garbage over other people's works, but heigh ho, it is what it is. My motto: If it's not on Netflix I have to bear it. I have a secret wish for a decent owner to buy Viki, any other business run like a community (aka cult) wouldn't survive, any company that let's the community run riot is a poor owner. That's Rakuten I guess. Sorry, this turned into a rant 😤
Very sad this good natured show will end in 2 weeks, it's a real, uplifting winner. Kwon Yu-ri is quite something, I know nothing about K-pop, just learned that my 2 favourite actresses of the moment are from Girls' Generation (the other is Choi Soo-young) both doing a cracking job with their characters.
