Ill watch this later but can someone spoil me? I knew that she somehow got reincarnated after her downfall. Did…
The drama made some changes to fit the censorship, but the flow of the plot remains the same.
In the novel, FL transmigrated into another body in the same timeline. Not going back in time. Drama eliminated the transmigration part, but the flow of the timeline remains the same from the novel.
Her family really tried to kill her for various reasons.
on point! that novel was also already sold right and i saw some funny comments on douyin that said "don't…
ikr
For Malicious Empress, we can pretty much guess the tone of the story entirely changing since Shen Miao's entire modus operandi is taking advantage of her past life knowledge from beginning to end, and that stuff ain't making to the screen due to censorship.
Ok as a novel reader,am i the only one who is not disappointed?I mean i knew that they would not use reincarnation…
Novel reader here. I don't have any big issue so far as well since I already set my expectation accordingly. First 4 episodes are a bit rushed, but that also means more room for the later major arcs. 36 episodes is really really tight for the original story to begin with.
Fl is miscast(i loved her in other dramas ).. atleast cast someone who has body n height for general type of roles…
Actually, Zhou Ye portrayed He Yan character pretty close to the source material.
He Yan got petite body, but good at martial arts and got strength on par with other top male generals. And characterwise, she's quite an energetic and mischievous one at that too.
Coming from a novel reader.. is anyone else disappointed with the pacing of the show? I feel like scenes are all…
Having seen the airing license was approved with 36 episodes, I've set my expectation accordingly since long ago. 😅
Episode 4 and what, we are already at flag competition. Though, on the bright side, more room for the later stuffs. Later arcs are what I care more about.
Though, at the same time, I already put away my expectations to see everything from the novel in the drama in its entirety. There's no way 40 episodes can fit this many overarching arcs, subplots, and characters. I'll be glad if the drama doesn't cheap out on the grand battle scenes.
They had to kill so may just to keep our LYN alive! 😭
I had to take a break with AJTL knowing the scooby gang gonna get wiped in a few more episodes... I loved them so much and it'll break my heart to see them fall. 😭
It really needed a few more episodes...In the novel, the last arc was very detailed with all the battles, both…
It was quiet good overall. Definitely one of the better adaptations out there. I loved it as well.
The novel can be a hit or miss for some audience as because of how cold and cruel Wei Shao there is, and how passive Manman is. The drama is more palatable for broader audience, and the leads being really good help a lot with it as well.
How I wish this is a 40-episodes drama. They could have done a lot more with the extra 4, or even 2 episodes. Or, allocate 2 fluff episodes from the middle to the last arc. I was worried the remaining 5 episodes would be too tight for the last arc, and it really turned out that way.
Overall loved the drama still. Put it on my rewatch list.
Finally, complete it!Anyway, do anyone felt it should be 38/40 drama instead of 36?I felt like the last ep can…

In the novel, the last arc was very detailed with all the battles, both at Wei Shao and Manman's sides. Also, it was Manman who ultimately defended Yujun in the novel. Ugh.. I'm gonna go read it again to scratch this itch. haha
Not gonna lie, I'm glad Da Qiao stuck with her character till the end. I was sort of worried she'll be saved convinently and get her redemption just like that. Did I feel sad at her death? No. But, her character was consistent till the end and I liked that.

FL is He family's biological daughter.

I almost wish it doesn't get adapted into drama, because we can already see the backlash coming from a thousand li 😂
She's exactly how the novel depicted this character. So mischievous and always getting on Xiao Jue's nerve. ❤️

I'll read this after I finish the one I'm reading right now, The Times Spent in Pretense.
