Ep24 and 25 were so good! Totally brought back the vibe from the beginning of the story. And Ep 26 and 27 trailers look promising as well. I'm pumped!!! 🤩🤩
I can see why they had to scale down the deer hunt event. Would have been nice if it was adapted as it is in the novel. Tens of thousands of Wei army soldiers surrounding the arena, and the events taking place in the center. And, Manman beating the ceremonial drum to open the grand event. Would have looked so grand. But, no complaint for what we got as well.
On a side note, the drama do keep the main events from the novel so far. I'm ready for the ride!!
I feel so uneasy in the scene when XQ didn't directly answer WS's question about her staying by his side. Loving…
That answer perfectly encapsulates their relationship dynamic at this moment. They are attracted to each other, but there are still walls that's keeping them from truly becoming one.
I'm actually glad we are finally back on this track. The tension and the complex nature of their relationship is back.
Ep21: man... now that we reach this part about the inscription, how I wish they would put in THAT scene from the extra chapter in the drama, though chances are extremely low. 😆
She'll be in the story for a while, but not overly annoying or harming the leads too much. Also, her plottings are more alinged to politics rather than romantic.
Please help me for my confusion. Im at eps 5, so grandpa died right? Why did he still continue the wedding I mean,…
It's a political marriage. Both sides gain some benefits out of it.
From their marriage, Wei Shao gets Panyi for free, a strategic location that opens up Wei state to other states. A cruicial step for his expansion ambitions.
Xiao Qiao gets albeit temporary safety for the Qiao family. If she does not marry him right then and there, there's high chance Wei Shao will seige her city and kill all of Qiao family because his location and tragetory is very close to the Qiao city. Plus, since she will be beside of Wei Shao after their marriage, she has the chance now to make plans for long term solution. It's less about her grandfather's dying wish. It's her way of looking out for her family's safety by sacrificing herself.
This is the best gift Wei Shou could have given Manman. Knowing what her family's security means to her, he is…
It's most likely war horses as well. Some would surely kill to get 500 good quality war horses at that time. His gift was indeed thoughtful, just that not the right timing. xD
Ep21 Trailer: Been waiting for this haha. They pushed it way back.
I guess after a couple more light episodes, the 🐍 will be back and the main plot will pick up again. As much as I'm enjoying the fluffy atmosphere, I need them to get down to business soon because there's still a lot left to unpack, and would like the ending to be squarely stuck and not rushed.
Did she become so? If not who truly has the huadian mark as she wipes away in later episodes? And a lil bit spoil…
That huadian and prophecy thing was as fake as it sounds in the novel as well. Of course, it was our Wei Shao and Manaman who became Emperor and Empress.
The relationship progression in the novel was like Lust > Possessivness > Infatuation > Love... around that order. So, naturally they started off with that. xD
For the Novel Readers: Will the Secret + Purpose of Boya Tunnel be an important challenge the main couple must…
The tunnel thing is drama only, but same concept with what took placed in the novel. Angst will surely come of course. We are at the calm before the storm stage right now. None of the main issues between main leads are properly addressed yet.

It seems like he actually doesn't have any feeling toward FL. But, we are only half way so difficult to say for now. He's not meddlesome so far.
