to be an actor you need to have a part of narcicism. Most actors enjoy attention. Korean dramas are becoming popular more and more. Those who choose this job know that they will be watched across the world. I think they really know what they get into. It is their choice. Society is superficial. Most actors are there more for their appearance than for their talent. I am not saying they are not talented. I am saying than between 2 persons they will take the one which is a little less gifted with acting skill because this person is more handsome. Korean work out a lot for their bodies. I think men are really proud to show off their abs. I don't see any problem. When the actor has not a really worked out body, he will refuse to show is on camera. For instance the boy from clean with passion for now gained weight. He didn't have a shirtless scene. I think they are free to choose what they want to show or not. And it is not a problem for a man to show his body . Men will never be called whore. If their body is beautiful I don't see any problem with showing it. It is hard work to draw abs and a 6 pack. I am sure they are proud to show it.
Typical lakorn, think this is a remake. Don't find the leads too attractive so dropped halfway into episode 1.

Yes I understand what you mean and I agree. Every body is built differently. I look thinner than my weight. But I was more talking about the dictature of extreme slimness in China . Some actresses are really anorexic and it is obvious. I have had problem with food all my life so I can recognize people that suffer the same problems as me.
