I need a spoiler please. Iām curious about the emperor, his father, is he on his side or? (Iām on episode 2). That palace scene with all the ministers, I see hints of smiles from him, Iām not sure if heās impressed, proud of his so or what.
What a beautiful drama. Can someone shout it from the rooftops for all writers of C-drama: communication communication coMMunication between a couple in a drama is one of the best things you can do for viewers. I mean this couple was just beautiful.
He gave up his title after she left Yao and he never told her. In fact he told his brother that after she does…
You really raised some good points there. I hear you. Thanks for bringing perspective that I completely forgot because I got emotional feeling bad for Prince Annan and how cold she treated him on episode 37. But you make sense.
He gave up his title after she left Yao and he never told her. In fact he told his brother that after she does…
Yes part of it was the responsibility he felt for his countrymen but part of it was her also. He wanted to live an ordinary life not just to atone for what he did but for her. Whether he gave up that title after or before she left he still did it because of what they had promised each other. I still think she gave up on them/him to easily. And he gave up more than she did by choice. And for her, the Crown Prince (Emperor) helped her with that choice. If she wasnāt sentenced to death, and had to remain ādeadā, would she have given up her title, name and position for him? Doesnāt seem like it.
Honestly, Iāve seen some comments saying they skipped episodes 1ā19 or something, but personally, I wouldnāt recommend skipping any whole episodes. For me, episodes 1ā19 were actually quite watchable and still really captivating, definitely not boring.
How youāre gonna skip so many episodes, they are a build up and foundation of the OTPās story.
If you do want to skip, Iād only suggest skimming through the repetitive scheming parts, mostly the scenes with the Crown Prince, Prince Li, the Empress, and the dark sorcerer guy. You can pretty much tell what theyāre plotting, and youāll eventually see their plans play out against the main leads anyway. So instead of skipping full episodes, just fast-forward through those same recycled scheming scenes.
What did start to feel a bit dragging for me was around episodes 31ā34, when Jie An regains his memories as Prince Annan. I almost dropped it at that point, but Iād already come too far to stop. Episode 28 and 35 were my favourites. Rewatch episodes right there
I was quite disappointed with the female lead in the last few episodes. I just feel like she didnāt fight for their love.
What broke my heart the most, though, was realizing how differently their loyalties were placed. She was more loyal to her duty, to her title as a general, her position as a daughter, and her country, than she was to their love. And thereās nothing wrong with that; itās honorable. But the contrast between her and Prince Annan was painful to watch. When his memory returned, he was loyal to her, loyal to their love and the promise they made under heaven and earth. He stripped himself of everything, his title as commander, his identity as a prince, even his royal status, just to have a life with her.
Meanwhile, she held onto everything and let go of him without even a fight. He gave up everything to be with her, and she gave up their love/him to hold onto her duties, not even holding onto a bit of hope for a while longer.
Honestly in most of these Cdramas that I have seen, men love harder and deeper than the women do. These mls when they hurt a fl who loved them deeply, theyāre in trouble because damn we can be cold and hard when we have been hurt deep. Itās painful to watch. (Episode 37 venting)
if me, i watched 2 if it og coz sometimes not all the og I looks good/I'm not interested with. but if all the…
Iām stuck in between, Iām not sure if Iām watching 2 or 3 dramas at the same time or Iāve just put them on pause. Iām not sure if itās because they not suiting me or what because so far they good dramas for me. I try to go back to watch them and then Iām drawn to another one and pause that one. Itās an annoying cycle thatās actually frustrating me and I need to put a stop to it somehow.
I do exactly the same. I begin 2 or 3 dramas at a time and then I have to pause one and even if it's amazing I…
What you wrote there on your first comment is exactly whatās happening with me, except for the stress part, never thought it could be related as another commenter said. Something to think about I guess.
With your second comment, I actually wait for dramas to either finish or have a couple of episodes out before I start to watch them because I like to binge. Maybe thatās the problem now, that Iām struggling to binge a single drama and finish it, so maybe I must try watching them daily.
I think it's either that nth really catches your fancy, or you're going through a time that you need not to focus…
Interestingā¦you just went deep there. Never thought it could be related to that. Not saying it is but you gave me something to think about or take note of.
aw man it started great but around ep 16 it becomes draggy and dull. Such a shame, they should have reduced the…
Lol Iyoh comments section will confuse you. Others are saying episode 1-20 or something was boring and from 21 - 38 it was awesome. Iyah neh to each their own. That time Iām still on episode 1
It is one of the weakest cdramas i have seen so far
Really? lol š¤£. Iām still on episode 1 so just reading the comments. Iāve learnt not to go by the comments but I still canāt resist reading them
