I have to agree with @ADillon's post below. This was the perfect kdrama. Personally, I'm glad that I first got to see Weak Class Hero 1 & 2 before moving to this drama. Choi Hyn Wook and Ryeo Un were great in their separate roles, but in this drama, I felt every grain of their existence, their happiness, and pain. I have a newfound respect for Ryeo Un - he is a brilliant actor. Quite mesmerising to watch, actually. A genius production, and rewatch material!

Two episodes in and I'm completely mesmerised. This is not what I was expecting. Masterpiece material

I absolutely love it as well, friend. Despite the ending, and would definitely want to read the novel to see how it all pans out. It was beautiful, sincere, and just special. For now, I,m being distracted by Revenged Love. It really is refreshing!

As a gay guy, all of what you've said resonates with me, and I respect that. Perhaps I just like living in denial because the disappointment has been there, on many occassions. So I rather indulge in the escapism without having to deal with reality lol. I'm yet to watch a BL that will give kids the ideal personification of a 'perfect love.' We all have to go through the motions, and learn the hard way. There's no BL that can fix expectations
