I know Ye Li is smart and is habituated to doing things alone but her running these solo ops is really scaring me off. I fear for her.

That background sound that comes up when Ye Li is talking to Qing sheung is scary.

I hope now ML is aware that Prince Li is that rat who killed Yuan. If not, he's got to be the dumbest dude. That Ye family needs some smacking. Some members needs to be killed off without any trial. The leads should start confiding in each other. I am waiting to see ML fight scenes. That actor has always been good in fight scenes.

But makes no sense. Even after she came back I still feel like she is not there yet. She is rushing too much.

Today's eps were boring asf. SML's backstory, & the drama sorrounding it felt very draggy. It's like after the death of He Bo the drama lost it's momentum. That guy literally gave final boss vibes and after his death it's not exciting anymore. Seriously need a strong villian now. I know that there's that prince but he looked pale in comparision to He Bo. Urgently need some strong conflict here. Else atleast focus on ML & FLs relationship. The scenes with them just enjoying each others company came out well. Atleast use that for some filler eps.

Yes. So many such small nuances which people won't notice if they just keep skipping scenes. Great characters. It's difficult to write grey characters like Daebi Mama. They did good.

Boring? That’s the last word I’d use for ML. Are we even watcing thee same drama? He’s one of the most nuanced characters I have seen in a while. Shaped by childhood restrictions where he couldn’t even play freely with his brother because the crown prince title created a wall between them. That sense of unreachable stayed with him, making him long for it. The trauma drilled into him by his father that the throne was something unattainable, so even when his brother asked him mul times to take over(hinted in today's ep), he didn’t dare. Then his brother’s death. In the latest episode, he openly regrets not stepping up earlier, believing his hesitation cost his brother’s life. And now he’s determined not to let history repeat with his nephew. What makes him fascinating is the conflict within. Is he driven by greed or by protectiveness? Even he doesn’t know(he himself told FL in today's ep). That breakdown in the crown prince’s quarters crying alone, says a lot about the character.

And some never fail to amaze me with their SML obsession.

I hope the Queen Mother sides with ML. I think she has realized her mistakes and her character needs redemption. I have long suspected that she lowkey liked ML. The way she acts around him, the way she strongly opposed ML marrying FL and how she pushed SML to break them apart. That flashback made sense. I don’t like her endgame being with SML. They were lowkey hinting at it throughout the drama, but I want her to be happy somewhere outside of politics. I want to see some good moments between her and her son. I want that kid to grow up happy.
