I don't think so. Even so, there will be some hidden story behind it like he did that to protect her. Asian dramas have this serious tendency to whitewash SMLs. The makers are very afraid of SML blind worshippers to actually for once create an actual villian SML.

ML himself later that she got too comfortable until now with him taking care of everything and she doesn't know how cruel human hearts can be.

CZY acted his heart out in this drama. It was surprising how this drama started off as a very dark one and now slowly turning into this historical romance, the genre we are most used to do. But I hope they don't tone it down too much. CZY as Sui Ge looked ruthless. I hope his sister took the right decision in marrying Jing Shi. For now that guy seemed to be like one of those SMLs who are hopelessly obsessed with FLs. I hope he won't cause any pain to ML's sister. If he does anything, I am too afraid that it will turn ML into a killing machine. ML seriously looked like a psycho in the first few eps. I even fear for his father, the emperor. It's like ML is hardly containing his inner monster. In those faceoff scenes between him and his father, I even felt that suddenly he might cut down his own father. That's how dangerous he is when he is turned on in the wrong direction. I hope FL contains him and makes sure to keep his humanity in check. Otherwise ML may create a bloodbath sooner or later.

This is so underrated. I hope more people watch this. The last few minutes of the film made me cry buckets.

Why on earth was that mistress getting angry at FL 🤦‍♂️? But I am glad that FL can now finally move on. This bodyguard genre has always been my favourite. Last time I was so invested into something like this was when watching K2. This drama literally turned back the clock for me. It's been quite some time since I watched a swoonworthy K drama. This drama has been good so far.

I think it just grazed her arm.

She lowkey likes him a lot though she doesn't show it. She kind of admire his character. It's something like when you love someone but don't want to show it, so you try to say things you don't mean. I like her. I think she has been keeping tabs on him and was rooting for him.

With each episode this drama is kind of growing on me. To be honest I didn't like it much after the 1st episode but kept watching because of SJK but episode 4 was so good. SJK is a straight shooter here. I am liking that he is very honest about his feelings. It's very refreshing seeing a ML who doesn't hold back and says whatever comes to his mind. I think FL has been through something which is going to be revealed later on. If not, I don't know she is acting quite awkward. I am liking the bickering siblings kind of relationship between ML and SFL. I hope ML takes care of her because I think SFL looks depressed. Maybe a trauma. I hope they won't force a relationship between SFL and SML for the sake of it. SFL character seems deep and I hope they explore it well.

"The Legend of Cheng Yi". Cheng Yi is back with a fantasy drama and that's all I need. Forget the story, seeing Cheng Yi is enough.

That scene def made FL's heart skip a beat. She looks like she totally forgot that she was sitting on a bomb. Up until that scene, FL looked cold and aloof but after that scene something changed, her eyes started looking around searching for him.

I am often surprised by these writers decisions to whitewash some characters. Why not just leave them the way they are? That guy, the King was acting like a psycho at one point and I was surprised by the sudden 360 degree behavioral change lol.

Yes. She definitely knew that he is slowly remembering her. ML himself didn't hold his feelings back. He even asked her to stay in Yao with him. Those words in itself should have hinted her that whether his memories were back or not, he started loving her again. So when FL took that decision to die felt very strange. She even told the king that she has nothing left to live for as her father died and Jin An left. Very weird. Even Lu Xin was acting all strange. She was suddenly acting all angry towards ML tho she knew that ML wasn't at fault. She used to be close to ML. ML always used to go to her whenever he had any problems. They were like besties. But after she came across ML again, she was acting like she can't even stand him. That anger felt kind of unwarranted and didn't feel like Lu Xin at all. Tho she was acting in the interests of FL, it's not like ML is all of a sudden a complete stranger to her. No matter others say, according to me Lu Xin and FL characters behaved very strangely in the last few episodes.

She faking her death would have made more sense instead of the King doing that. It felt weird for me when FL gave up everything just to die. Felt out of character. Noble as it may seem but she acted very strange in those last few episodes.

A king who succumbs to the pressure of his ministers, I think there is no actual character development for SML. Isn't the situation similar in Yao? ML should have also been forced but that isn't the case because their king knows how to keep the court in control. It's not the king but the ML himself chose to retire from court so he can be free to live as a common man with FL. I hoped for some SML character development after he became the emperor. He was acting fearless at one point but idk what happened to him again?

For me, this drama was a great watch purely because of the leads chemistry. Initially the story was promising but it kind of dragged on until ML goes back to being Prince Annan. Then him falling in love with FL all over again was blissful to watch. After FL's father death again the plot went haywire. The final episode kind of made up for all the mess created. Anyway though some questionable choices were made by the characters that seemed strange, I enjoyed this drama solely because of the leads love story.

Last couple episodes were kind of a mess. FL acting all strange and suddenly wanting to die. It was like a soap opera with ridiculous plots. That fake death of FL staged by the king was even more ridiculous. Up until last few episodes, this drama was very good but then it was missed up but the last few scenes between the leads kind of made up for what could have been a disappointing ending. But still I am not able to get over how the last few episodes turned out. What were you thinking writers? What's with all the unnecessary drama?

Feeling it guys. He is going to fall in love with her all over again and will probably get jealous of Jin An. He will be thinking about whotf is this guy that FL is always mumbling about?

I thought this would happen once he loses his memories but the torture isn't that severe. He is a bit soft on her considering she is his enemy now. I think this version of him will fall in love with her all over again.
