I remember Uri Geller. He was a con artist who claimed he could bend spoons with his mind. Turns out, he was pre bending them, so they broke when he picked them up on stage. He also claimed he could change the time on watches by thinking about them, but he was actually pulling out the stem and winding it, but it was such a sleight of hand movement that nobody in the audience picked up on it.
He was huge, until he was outed as a con artist. It's one thing to call yourself a magician or illusionist, so the audience knows you're performing a trick. But he was claiming that he actually had special powers, and he did not.
Remember, this show is taking place 27 years ago, and Geller was Israeli. This is about Uri Geller being a con artist, not a Zionist.
It hurts my heart to see Kim Bum wasting his talent on this incredibly boring series.Actually, all the actors…
Eric is a horrible part to play. Eric does not come across as the owner of a major company. He comes across as a puppy dog, or a manic pixie dream girl/guy. He isn't written well.
First, I am enjoying this show. And I know this is supposed to be romantic, but it's a big RED FLAG for me.I'll…
I know this is supposed to be romantic, but it's a big RED FLAG for me.
If a man I started dating dumped me, and then reconnected with me, and then called me at 4 in the morning to open my front door. And then he's standing there with an overnight bag saying, "Let's sleep together." NOOOOOOO.
And how did he get into her building without the door code that she hasn't given him?
She has no right of refusal. He could push his way into the apartment. What if she wasn't ready yet? Obviously, she was ready, but what if it was too soon. What if she doesn't have birth control prepared? What if she has her period? What if she has her dirty clothes lying all over the floor? This is not the sort of thing men watching this show should think is a romantic gesture in real life.
I would have liked this episode better if the writer had him call her and ask her before driving over. Then you could see her excitement as she tidied up, and his excitement of jumping in the car and driving over. And having them embrace as he comes through the door, because she's expecting him.
I'm still enjoying the show. I'm just disappointed in the writer for this scene.
How little testing was done on both of these creams? It's like they mixed it up and said, "Done." And why is he still growing mushrooms if the creams were so tainted? I want to like this show, but the premise is bugging me, and I feel like the show is dragging midstream.
1. This show was like eavesdropping on someone's life. I liked it.2. You could see the relief in Yukio's face…
Yeah, I figured it was the director's choice, but it felt wrong for all the characters to speak like that. Kotaro was at least a bit different, but that actor always seems to be a bit out there in both looks and personality. He always stands out to me ( and I mean that in a good way.)
My thoughts on the final episode. I'll put it all behind a spoiler.
1. This show was like eavesdropping on someone's life. I liked it.
2. You could see the relief in Yukio's face as Ayana was confessing her cheating to him. It's like, "Phew, I'm justified in breaking up with her."
3. Yukio basically did what Ayana did, which was confide in a coworker about their significant other. So that didn't feel like it came out of the blue to me.
4. She was right to break it off with her fellow writer. He needs to get his life together.
5. I'm glad Yukio told Ayana to never come back to his shop. I can't believe she had the chutzpah to try to start over with him.
6. I'm glad she remained friends with Kotaro. And I'm glad he knows where he stands. I think the things that were said "about him" that weren't about, turned out to be about him. Calming. Her rock.
7. If I had one conplaint about the show, it would be how slow everyone talked. Nobody takes that much time to complete a sentence in real life. And people talk over each other in real life. I felt like everyone in this show had the same speaking cadence. SLOW.
It's refreshing to watch a show where the characters have sex, like normal messy people. The lack of a sound track is also refreshing. It makes me feel like I'm eavesdropping on someone else's life.

I wonder if Ahn Hyo-seop has bad skin, and that's why he wears heavy makeup?
But you're not wrong. I agree with your comments.

I'll put this behind a spoiler for everyone who hasn't gotten to the end of episode 9.
But yeah, the length of the tape over the eye patch is just WRONG.
So far, my only wonder is, HOW THE HECK DID THEY GET A GRAND PIANO INTO HIS APARTMENT?
I just finished binge watching this show and it was great. No bad guys. Just regular messy relationships.
