I only just now realized that in the last scene at the beach, SY was asking HJ's dad for permission to marry her by yelling at the water. It took me days to figure that out.
Can someone explain to me the ending? He took the spell book. Why?
He didn't take the book. He was burying the book. It mirrored the current time frame scene of SY reburying the book.
It's a weak scene in that it doesn't explain why only HJ could open the box, since her Joseon era counterpart would have put a spell on the box so only she could open it. I think it makes it confusing that it showed him holding the spell book.
expect some plot twist at the end...but...nothing much..so bland. You can watch to kill some time.
There were several plot twists.
Mr. Kwon is revealed to really be a good guy, after taking the bribe.
Na Yeon gets arrested and hauled off to jail in handcuffs. I was expecting that she'd be humiliated with the release of the video, and dumped by her lover, but I wasn't expecting her to be arrested.
HJ isn't the one who's pregnant. I thought that was a nice twist. SY telling the shaman that she's WRONG, AGAIN, was funny. Although to be honest, I wanted SY's mom to divorce her husband and be pregnant by SY's best friend. They made a great May December couple.
ok was that credit scene supposed to mean something or was it just there randomly?
It was SY's Joseon era character burying the original spell books after he killed Joseon era HJ. It was a mirror of contemporary SY reburying the spell books. It's the only scene that tells us how the spell books got there originally, and I can't believe they put it AFTER the credits.
1. Nope, we never get an explanation as to what gardener guy did to SY when SY was in a coma in the hospital. And we never find out how the gardener guy knew how to do spells. He would have needed a spell book in order to burn the pages, right?
2. At least they wrapped up the psycho gardener right at the beginning of the last episode.
3. I half expected SY to foster that little kid if grandpa went to prison.
4. I could have done without the Gong - Ma romance.
5. I'm glad Mr. Kwon turned out to be a good guy. I knew that was going to happen. Although his trial seemed to be way too soon. That sort of thing normally takes months to come to trial.
6. Na Yeon got hers and then some. Way more karma bit her than I was expecting.
7. Baby daughter was for the wrong parents, BWA-HAHAHAHHHA! Although SY telling his parents that he knocked up HJ was hilarious.
8. Damn, those Tiffany pieces are ugly. The bracelets looked like handcuffs. The engagement ring is basic, considering how rich SY is. And the man's ring with the T's was tacky.
9. I had a feeling SY was going to move in. I honestly expected him to unblock the stairs between their apartments as the surprise.
10. Did they have to put the important shots AFTER the closing credits? That pissed me off a bit. It was important to find out that SY's Joseon era counterpart was the one who originally buried the spell books, and it mirrored the contemporary scene of SY reburying the spell books. This must be the 3rd time (different shows) that I've seen Rowoon in Joseon era garb in that profile pose. He looks good in that pose.
11. SY wrestling that live octopus was . . . something. Did we really need to see that? I mean, I like eating octopus, but I really didn't want to see SY trying to wrestle one into submission and throwing it in the pot.
Just after the Spiderman kiss, Sin-yu wakes up and somehow Hong-jo has the whole duvet wrapped around her, spot…
Heheheh, this is why the Scandinavians sleep with TWO duvets. There's no pulling and tugging if each of you have your own duvet, even if you're sleeping in the same bed. Genius.
Enjoyed the drama bc Rowoon. But the fun is all gone when they portray adult professional women being in each…
I'm Ok with the love spell because the whole conceit of the plot revolves around the spell book and the curse. Fantasy elements.
But I HATED the cat fight. It made no sense. Gong didn't even ever go on the blind dates, so I don't understand why blind date was pissed off. I also hated the stair catch, the public proposal, and the bitchy co-irkers.
They could have left all that out and just showed Rowoon in the shower for half an hour every episode.

It would have made the baby reveal even better!
