I agree with everything you’ve said. Superhero female lead vs normal girl. While I do enjoy both it’s easier to feel my heart hurt when watching the normal girl go through stuff than it does the “superhero” not that I didn’t enjoy the punch in HYD but it didn’t have the emotional impact of F4’s kick. I mean even the way the makino does a little boxing jogging pose thing before she punches him it was ridiculous 😂 but I laughed 😂

Yeah I’ve watched three episodes so far and Domyouji was mad the guys sent didn’t r*pe her? Like what the hell omg and I read that the manga is worse when it comes to s*xual assu*lts So at this point I think this story overal is not for me lol so I appreciate F4 Thailand even more now.

They really made it better and in line with the views of society today. Even the way they chAnged it so thyme drowns the guys as punishment for trying to assault her. But in HYD Domyouji drowns someone for not assaulting her already?? like I don’t know how I’m meant to enjoy their love story after that ew! also the way the second male lead saves her from that attack is kinda lacklustre compared to the Thailand version lol he made it rain😭

However I can appreciate why people think it’s the best version the pacing is nice and some moments did make me laugh and I do enjoy the comical over the top comic style of things but I can’t get over how terrible Domyouji is😭😭

it’s more like they didn’t delve deeper into characters or do any character work because they jus took the manga at face value and as you said the plots a mess and not cohesive .. I need to watch the Japanese one to compare tho but yeah :)

Be as biased as you must. lol but i agree with you 10000%. The korean version is kinda terrible and people kept saying is due to it being outdated which i think is the case but its also that the story is told poorly.

There's one scene in the korean version where i think his sister? tells the girl that hes mean because his parents are always gone. but thats literally it. we are just told as the audience that a character is this way because hes this way. what terrible writing. this is why this one is better. they SHOWED us the relationship with his mother and we can feel how uncomfortable he must be in that setting. Right then I sympathized with this character more than any other version. this version is so good at storytelling. lemme not talk about that kick again lol but even the writer giving the kick more meaning ?? amazin

i can really tell the directors and the screenwriters really tried their hardest to dig into the manga and pull more out of it and relate it to today, all the other versions are like over the top caricatures.

Exactly! I could tell from the first ten mins though that it was going to be better. The tone from the beginning is “this is a story that shouldn’t be taken lightly” but back to the shoes that whole part really got me HOOKED. I was like wow …y’all got me tearing up over this old ass story lol

Something that really got me i actally cannot stop thinkin about it is the scene with the kick. They gave more meaning to it than her just standing up to him. my heart swelled

Watched maybe ten minutes of the first episode and I already knew by the cinematography and score that I would like it. Finished the first episode and wow They really made this story finally feel real?! The main girl is so good and I don’t want to punch her. They gave the main guy more back story. So you don’t have to just assume the reason why he’s a bastard you can see it for yourself
