The whole life ruined bit just does not work for a 30yo. Like, at all.If she was young and still working on a…
I get you but you’re clearly ignoring all the societal factors that would go into someone being thirty and thinking having a baby is life ending. ”bloomingtide”s comment actually explains well for real life but for this character:
First. She is a virgin and is pregnant because someone else who she trusted with her body violated her and put a random mans sperm into her and now she’s pregnant … like ..omg?
Second she literally did not have sex and is now facing the “consequences” of doing so.
I don’t know how you could watch ep 1&2 and not understand that she has to choose between going against her personal life morals of a) aborting the foetus or b) keep the child and give it up for adoption. Two things I’m sure she never expected to have to be thinking about after being a virgin for 30 years. So yes it absolutely would be life shattering if you was Jane.
this whole scenario is insane,,, that’s why it’s a bloody telenovela plot lol
i was very hard team michael in the american JTV but i don’t think i’ll get SLS in this kdrama version! this…
I agree and there’s a comment below that hates the changes they made to this SML and I like that your comment kinda highlights why they made these specific changes. it really does feel like somethings missing in their relationship and it’s not just sex
It’s as good as I thought it would be. Telenovelas are so similar to kdramas or soaps in the western world in terms of how ridiculous certain plots can be and Jane the virgin is actually such a solid plot to be remade for South Korea and they are doing very well! Laughed a lot and it even got a few tears out of me already! It’s got that typical slapstick dumb humour and the “mature” or sex jokes that are rare in kdramas
I do think knowing what happens is making it more enjoyable to watch however because I know what’s coming next and they’re implicating things very well 😁
One of the best Chinese dramas I’ve watched it had everything I wanted :great romance moments ,the second couple being as developed as the main couple ,the plot twists ,the story constantly being interesting,, ugh just so good
if anyone knows more things like this pls let me know
I get ur point, but he been there for a whole year ( according to the script)… it might be he been all over…
😂this comment is so backwards.. you don’t see the point of being negative? Then how would people be educated on these issues?🤔 you making up all these excuses for the bad writing like did it say he was all over Africa?
So i just started watching this and I'm quite confused about one particular thing: how can nadia be a drag queen…
i havent started this yet so idk if the character is trans but to answer ur question
drag is an artform born from trans women/men and gay men and so they are the majority who perform but there are also cis women who are in the scene also. to be a drag queen is to dress up as an exaggerated version as a woman and perform/entertain so a ciswoman can be a drag queen by using similar artistic ability.
a drag king would be woman who dresses up as an exaggerated version of a man, or a man who does as such.
