After thinking about it, I hope this melon is true rather than Chunhuayan that some fans want her to pick up. The subject matter will be suitable for TV and she continues her collection of positive female characters. Chunhuayan is too much of a gamble for little gain and it stands a chance that either she or the show will be cut to pieces like SJFY. Edit: I read Chunhuayanâs synopsis the other day and if itâs true, it reads like those 10 minute harlequin dramasâŠđ
They look so beautiful together in the Reuters that I really want a happy ending too but at this point Iâm just praying Miss Qi doesnât end up eating him to cure her illnessđ
Isnât Riley Wangâs character a fish demon that can be eaten to reduce nightmares and ailments? Slightly worried about whatâs going to happen to him đ
I wonder what director did or say to xiaoran.. that expression. đ
TJRâs expression was hilarious. He really bounded over like a puppy to speak to her only to have her dragged off like thatđ I think GJM can be quite fierce. His actions looked quite fierce before he pulled her away. It might probably horrify a newcomer used to gentler/less powerful TV directors but I get the vibe PXR is happy in this crew.
The drama is probably a showcase for CDL. Knowing Edward Guo, he wants to be the one that shows to the entertainment…
CDL and HMH are definitely the official leads. CX has always been listed as 2FL from everything Iâve seen. I havenât watched her Reuters but I donât think CDL will be calm and cold. Her color palette doesnât suit that. Itâll probably be girlish yet gentle and slightly cute.

Iâm not a CDL fan but I know her because she has been making waves/heavy advertising. The reason she probably doesnât have much MDL support is probably because she hasnât been in many dramas foreign audiences like to watch/have access to. As she shows her face more in those types, she should build more of a base. But yes, if you want her to get more exposure, you may have to do it yourself. Almost a year ago, I started doing the same for PXR and itâs been gratifying to see more people wanting to get to know her.

These Reuters are probably to pull in passerby interest/shore up investment in addition to showcasing the leads. Reuters are a form of advertising and CDLâs Reuters are usually a draw. She has a fanbase and a pretty good reputation with passerby. Her big role in TtEotM built up most of its hype for her through her Reuters and the character trailers. The guest appearances are definitely to bring in a wider audience as Iâm one of them (and also to show clout because not everyone can get them) but I donât think CX is a prop either. I donât see her data carrying the show when Iâve checked the Weibo page in the past. CDL and HMHâs fans seem to be leading. Anyway, whether she is a prop will depend on how she is portrayed when the show airs.
Being 2nd lead doesnât mean you wonât shine. GJM chooses on temperament and suitability. He wonât give a…
Iâve watched a few of his films including his biggest hit, Tiny Times but I donât like his current aesthetics so I havenât watched anything beyond Ying-Yang Master. Tbh, the only reason I will watch this is for PXR but that said, I think those questioning his casting should believe in him. He has faults but he is sincere, and sincerity goes a long way when it comes to directors. Almost all the truly hit dramas, low or high budget, have had this in common.
I wonder what director did or say to xiaoran.. that expression. đ
It reminds me of Actors, Please Take Your Place. It feels like heâs scolding her. I feel like thatâs her âoh no, GJM is scolding meâŠhow can I charm my way out of itâ expression. Fans on Weibo said he yanked her off to remedial dance classesđ€Ł

The bit about A-listers and popularity isnât so true about his past career as heâs worked with top level traffic but he does also have a history of taking on newcomers like mentioned. Opinions are mixed on whether he turns them into something âgoodâ as a few have come to him already possessing a famous character, but I do believe he is sincere in wanting to showcase his castâs best appearance and talent. CDL has been in the industry for a few years but didnât really have much of a name until recently. The roles she received in the past she probably had to take on because were the best available and/or she needs exposure in her rising period. In the last year or so, she took the cameo route to gain exposure which has worked and led to better roles and opportunities. The challenge for her now is whether she can consistently support a heroine role. She became popular from her support role but people are a lot more lenient about support and cameo roles than they are leading roles. Whatâs good in her case is GJM has experience coaching younger actors. People may not like his style but if he sees potential in you, heâll try to give you opportunities. He has a name and his own fanbase so young actors working with him get a lot of built in exposure. He worked with Xiao Ran and because of the opportunities he gave her, the audience could see her skills with lines in addition to her looks and acting abilities.
Tbh I wished I love CDL but I kinda wish the CX was the 1st female lead and CDL would be the 2nd female lead
Being 2nd lead doesnât mean you wonât shine. GJM chooses on temperament and suitability. He wonât give a role he doesnât think will suit. I think CXâs chivalrous look in this drama is really interesting because Iâd never considered her as that type of character before. Itâs fresh; a good way for her to break out again.
Reuters of Miss Qi and Ran Yi (Wang Yilun) eloping. Fans are coming up with all sorts of BE endings for themđ:https://m.weibo.cn/detail/4966958694929033#&video

I wonder what happened here. Both actors have excellent expressions đ (not a spoiler)
