It’s apparently back up for reservations and already hit the 10,000 mark. This show has been re-edited and under review twice which is possibly why it took so long. I just hope it’s the quality of the version that won best director a few years ago.
Just finished this drama. It started good/ok then went meh.., boring for me. I still had to push through to finish…
Female villains are generally more interesting than female leads because they’ve got the flavour of forbidden fruit. Romantically though , Nie Sangyu would have not have worked. RoaTF is based off a soul transmigration story and not twins like in the drama. Nie Sangyu’s ending follows the book in which she dies as well but not until after her character causes a bunch of trouble for Ji Man, even endangering her safety. PXR’s portrayal makes her more likeable but in the book, Nie Sangyu’s inability to mature makes it impossible for her to form a relationship with Ning Yuxuan, who at the start of the book is also quite terrible. Wen Wan in the drama is actually quite close to how Nie Sangyu behaves when she appears in the book. Tao Siwei wasn’t forced. The drama continuously hints that there’s something not quite right about him. Maybe because it’s played as a comedy, it’s a bit confusing but he really only has eyes for Nie Sangyu to the point of obsession- which in this drama is a deadly sin. He actually doesn’t propose to Qingyun because he wants to but because Ji Man, who he thinks is Nie Sangyu, says he should. And once he does propose, it’s very clear he’s reluctant. His betrayal is actually an interesting reversal of the forever loyal 2nd ML trope because he’s so loyal to Nie Sangyu, he won’t think twice about betraying/killing Ji Man because he feels aggrieved fin behalf of Nie Sangyu.
this was one of the best cdrama endings I've ever watched!! I'm so glad that they included a mini wedding scene!
I really liked the ending too! The message was so beautiful and the wedding so sweet! You should check out the BTS. Peng Xiao Ran and Ding Yuxi spun so much, they both fell over😂
I love Zhang Nan in costumes and this is the only show Youku’s aired this year that I want to watch so of course it’s region locked🫠 Youku never disappoints in disappointing me.😩
I made the mistake of watching this on my day off and now I am angry all over again FML I cannot even deal right…
Every time I catch a clip, I’m really ready to scold Youku. Especially considering the crap they pulled when RoaTF was airing with the GMP clips. But on the other hand, low-key about to renew my Youku membership so I can rewatch SJFY again. It really does hit different. 😩 FSF is really a top notch actor and even though they cut PXR in the end, you can sense that the crew at least cared somewhat during filming.
It’s completely different from the book, a very loose adaptation. The storyline has been simplified but the essence of the book - the female lead being an entrepreneur and the main characters building a relationship together- hasn’t been lost. I read the book and I prefer the overall feeling and themes of the drama.

Communicating, considerate, and cute - still the best couple I’ve seen in 2023. And, just like there are different ways to be a woman, there are also many ways to have a relationship; passion isn’t the only way. It won’t work for everyone’s tastes, but I enjoy seeing diversity in the way relationships are portrayed. Thinking of all the long term healthy couples I’ve witnessed, the ones with decades behind them, most remind me of the relationship Ji Man and Ning Yuxuan are striving towards in RoaTF.
Me too. I hope she can work with production companies that respect her. This show, JJL, and RoaTF producers really messed up. If the producers had cared about Xiao Ran just a little bit, all three shows would have performed much better than they did.

I saw she posted in super chat too. I guess she’s back in Beijing. Did you see the leaked photo of her from Legend? It’s just her back but the outfit looks good.
Que diferença faz briga entre mulheres? é uma história não é politica social não menina
Uh…personal preference? Some people don’t like anchovies and some people do. I don’t like house fighting. Seeing women fighting women over a man is such a waste of brilliance to me, but for some viewers it’s a draw. I won’t fight that but I appreciate a show that doesn’t go that route and wanted to highlight the point to other viewers who may also not be into house fighting.
Ngl, I went back to rewatch SJFY after RoaTF finished. Yezi had so much potential. From troublemaking outcast to queen sh*t with a sick husband and baby on the side. My heart still hurts. I can’t help it.😩 And, I just saw it’s been released in Korea as 25 episodes so the hope for the full version is gone now. A lifetime of ramen with no seasoning packets to the producers, editors, and director for how they cut her out.
Happy to see Jun Jiu Ling getting the love it deserves. For those interested, here’s a filter-less clip with the actors’ own voices: https://m.weibo.cn/detail/4696201713420892

Yeah, she definitely lost a lot of weight. Though she gains weight easily, I think she also loses weight easily if she diets or does high energy activities. I think she’s still training and thus hiding her IP. Otherwise , she should have posted on Weibo after all the fans cries😂
Ugh, I’m so disappointed. I thought this was going to end my drama drought even though I dislike harem fights. I like He Hongshan’s costumes so much and it’s rare to see her as the lead😫 For risky shows like this that have been suppressed for so long , platforms really have to follow the route of The Wolf and just drop it all at once.

Her wall is full of fans crying they miss her. She looks good though. I hope her training is going well.
