it was filmed during december/january what do you expect? It's mid winter and the temp drops to minus in korea…
I guess they don't have central heating in the school which sounds so primitive. It's bizarre. No central heating?
I live in Canada and all of our schools, businesses and homes have units that heat the entire building. We don't use those single space heaters expecting them to heat buildings. We can buy space heaters to use in addition to existing central heated places though.
I'm guessing they don't have central air conditioning either???
The FL lead's hair adventures killed the drama for me, except for Tan Kai!
I get that they wanted to show her at different ages (younger with a pony tail) but they could have let her display her natural long hair and just styled it differently as she aged....
I absolutely agree. Even hos conduct changes when he is with her. For someone who prefers the girls to initiate…
I'm fairly certain that she likes Gwan Hee. She seemed jealous when Gwan Hee and Ha-jeong came back from Paradise because she was trying to get his attention by looking at him at the table but he didn't really seem to acknowledge her. Ha Jeong just rolled her eyes at Hyeseon's efforts to get his attention.
I'm think she is just in protective mode right now and trying to play it as cool as she can while also trying not to seem too desperate. Once Gwan Hee confesses his feelings to her then she will finally let her guard down and open up about how she feels ❤️❤️
I don't know, say what you will about Gwan Hee but I honestly think he really likes Hyeseon a lot and he didn't expect to feel that way so it kind of has him feeling a bit unnerved.
During that last conversation that they had he brought up the fact that he looks out for her and as a viewer you could clearly see him doing that, especially that incident where she was pushed down during that female challenge as (I believe it was) Gyri who was trying to remove her baseball cap and puffy tail. He noticed she had debris in her hair and he went over to help clean her off etc...
He strikes me as the kind of guy that (up until now) just wanted to have fun and was kind of always up for a good time minus the seriousness of a relationship but when he met Hyeseon at Inferno and got to know her in Paradise, I think he fell for her really hard and it scared him because I don't think he's felt like that with anyone ever before.
When they were down around the water area, Gwan Hee seemed really jealous when she was playfully taking selfies with some of the other guys. You could clearly see that this was the only thing that he was focused on.
I think we can all agree that Gwan Hee is quite the character, however it really made me kind of angry the way the other guys were feeding him false information about Hyeseon supposedly fawning over Won Ik when she clearly wasn't (at least not that we could see), but I am glad that he kind of confronted her about that and she was able to dispel the false innuendo.
I also believe that Guan Hee will indeed pick Hyeseon to go to Paradise since he won first place in that running challenge even though she clearly told him that it was perfectly fine for him to pick someone else to go with and that would help them in the end to make sure that they're on the same page with how they both feel towards one another when they meet up again for the last time in Paradise. So there won't be any lingering questions or wondering if something would have been better with someone else.
I personally think they make a cute couple. I believe she actually goes toe to toe with him and says what she thinks without sugar coating things and I think that's what he likes about her. She doesn't beat around the bush or play head games the way some of the other female contestants do.
So as I said, I think he'll just pick Hyeseon to go to Paradise instead of asking the other girl that he wasn't sure about and when she questions him about why he didn't explore everyone when he had the chance he'll simply say to her that he felt like he didn't need to talk to anyone else because he was already sure of how he felt about her. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm surprised that Habin isn't more popular because (in my opinion) he's the nicest looking male there!
Yeah they alluded to the fact that he was drinking a little heavily and maybe he was being a bit of an ass but they didn't show it. I just remember him walking away in the dark kind of thing or maybe he became unsociable and that was the problem?
It's so sad that he must have felt that there was no other alternative for him . Condolences to his wife and children and the many fans who will miss him and who were always in his corner.
I really wanted to like this show and I was waiting (and waiting) to watch it until nearly all of the episodes were dropped so I could binge watch it or watch it at my leisure.
In my opinion there was no chemistry between any of the couples. The language barrier that the show used as tool for inserting some type of manufactured conflict between the couples kind of wrecked some of the concept of the show because it seemed like all they showed was them talking on their phones to each other. Gee, how unromantic can you get? I mean how are you supposed to establish a connection for one another when all you're doing is you're looking at your phone?
I also would have preferred the show more if the women would have been Korean to better match their counterparts and YES, I do realize that this is a Japanese show so perhaps the men should have all been Japanese, got it? That's all I'm basically trying to say. And yes, they're going for the added conflict of having a language barrier to make people want to watch something that could potentially be insurmountable (yada yada) but to make the show a bit more believable with a possible chance of a happy ending for someone then I think all of the shows participants (male and female) need to be all Japanese or all Korean.
I see that there are at least two other shows that prefaced this particular show and in at least one of those shows (which takes place in New York), all 8 of the participants are Japanese. I didn't look too closely at the other show(s) that I mentioned to see if they too were all Japanese. I personally just don't find myself invested in any of their relationships because they're not living in the same country. So when it comes to their jobs, will the Korean men move to Japan or will the Japanese women move to Korea? I do know that there are Korean actors and actresses married to Japanese actors and actresses so it's not unheard of but when you have younger actors just starting out the potential for them to hook up with and stay with someone from a different country looks to be very low. I think if you're more of an established actor or actress then you have more leeway or opportunity to come and go or work out,of whichever country that you want to.
The other thing is (in my opinion) there were just too many hosts. Four hosts are more than ample.
And one last thing, I always wonder if the people that create these shows read the comments and or reviews etc? I'm hoping IF they decide to make more shows or stuff that's similar to this one that maybe they'll take some of the reviews and/or comments made about the show to heart so that they can improve it for the next time.
Would have been more interesting if they were required to go on a date with each member of the opposite sex and then compete in small tasks or challenges in order to get the opportunity to WIN a dream date with someone of their choice.
Ah to see these youngsters make the same mistakes I and we all prolly did because of insecurity, not appreciating…
I can't believe Ji woo had three guys fawning over her. She clearly loved the attention.
I thought Ye Rin and Jungyun would have made a cute couple but he's young so he's not going to be tied down to anyone especially if he's an actor wanting to gain popularity and a fan base.
Loved how SY felt conflicted after Ye Rin went on the bowling date. You snooze, you lose...

I'd love to see their relationship play out.

These hosts are way better than the ones on Love Like a K-Drama. It seems like they have far too many 🙄
