Kim Nam Gil
- Name: Kim Nam Gil
- Native name: 김남길
- Given name: Lee Han
- Also Known as: Kim Nam Kil, Kim Namkil, Kim Namgil, Lee Han, 이한, 金南佶
- Nationality: South Korean
- Gender: Male
- Born: March 13, 1980
- Age: 45
His interest in acting began in high school after watching a play of King Lear, but his parents opposed his career choice. To gain their approval, he enrolled in the Theater Department at Seoul Arts College (서울예술대학), though he was eventually expelled due to family circumstances. He later attended Myongji University (명지대학교), but feeling that the academic environment didn't suit his approach to acting, he dropped out to focus on theater. Kim worked part-time at the theater company And Then (그리고), initially handling stage management and small roles, which helped build his acting foundation.
In 2003, after being encouraged by a senior, he auditioned for a public talent search, passing MBC's 31st intake as the top candidate. He made his drama debut in the 1999 KBS 2 TV drama School (학교), and in 2005, began using the stage name Lee Han (이한) in Be Strong Geum Soon (굳세어라 금순아). He returned to his real name in 2008 after appearing in Public Enemy Returns (강철중: 공공의 적 1-1).
Kim fulfilled his military service as a public service worker from July 15, 2010, to July 14, 2012.
In addition to his acting career, Kim founded the cultural and arts NGO Gilstory (길스토리) in March 2012. The organization, registered as a non-profit in 2015, focuses on social contribution through cultural and arts campaigns. He serves as the head of the organization and collaborates with experts from various fields on pro bono projects.
