I started to watch the long season, really intriguing (from makers of the bad kids).
But waiting for the ingenious one.

I really wanted to like TTEOTM, honestly. It’s just too much of everything for me. Note, I dropped it around ep 10, so I don’t know if it got better. Interestingly it seems to be worth 8,9. I’m afraid we’ll be seeing that in Netflix before our beloved TSL, if at all. I wonder if YOUKOU realises we still lament about TSL. They should love this drama more.

TSL gave me just the right amount of angst, and it was there , as our hearts got wrenched here as well.
I miss the drama, the actors, this exchange here (however, I never left it , as haven’t found anything really worth seriously investing in).
Interesting to see comments of new watchers, and how they experience the story 😊. New insights too. This story never stops giving.

Been rewatching goodbye my princess, the legend of the Condor heroes 2017 with our CXX as Yang Kang; trying to follow Desire Catcher; although it didn’t catch my desire quite how I expected it :).
Short length dramas: however only few worth following. Anyway, serious withdrawals here for TSL . I’m still to see what’s next that would be so good this year.

Awaiting start of The Ingenious one next Monday, May 1st . Still the proof will be in the eating of that pudding.

Thank you for your beautiful take on the drama. I am rewatching it now for the fifth time (now due to having just ended watching The Starry Love where I loved CXX).

GBMP is an epic drama with amazing acting. I love the versatility of Chen Xing Xu, and I believe this was (to me) the best role of Peng Xiaoran to date.

Normally I don’t willingly look up tearjerkers, but this story and they way it’s acted is drawing me like a magnet back in, every time I feel like watching a quality drama. I’ve given up recommending it to people around me as they don’t watch Asian dramas, and silently enjoy it myself. Like a treasure of your own.

But I agree with your analysis on the pairing with the lady. I kind of focus only on his personal development, if that makes sense.

Yep finished it a long while ago and still rewatching bits and pieces. To me, the ending was fine, we knew what’s gonna happen. We didn’t see it. But tbh whatever they show, wouldn’t be enough.

And you had to keep your mind at the story to not lose out in the endless nuances and linkages. Like her impulsive wish during the night if the meteor shower ( I want to become the biggest boss and all four realms will yield to me) and how that became reality. Insanely beautiful.
