I watched it a couple of years ago and thought it was good but I watched it again now and I don't get the hype anymore haha.
It's a one time watch, worth for FL's acting (she grows on you), the background sound effects and editing are on point (they elevate the comedic level of the scene), the relationships between FL and Xuan Xuan and her parents and her ex's and ML ofc
I don't know how to feel about the ending it just doesn't add up because the one who the king fell in love with…
This line of yours expresses my feelings completely "It was not a bad ending but it was not satisfactory either."
I just wanted the Queen and the King to have a conversation regarding Bong Hwan leaving the body, the King would have understood because he already knew most of it even though he never believed it. I am just going to assume this is a conversation that they will have in the future, we just didn't see it is all :D
All thanks to teng she the first time I smile when hao chen appeared on scene was when he first test him, hao…
HAhaha I came here to comment about that too, I was laughing so much during that scene, you could see how helpless and irritated HC looked because he couldn't stop TS from fixing that barrier
I did feel that too at the beginning but as the story goes on, I felt they are very similar yet different, I hate that we didn't have a lot more Xufeng Jinmi moments as the series went on whereas this series didn't suffer from that aspect
I usually don't comment while I am watching but having Teng She shut Hao Chen up in Ep34 is so satisfying (Although I fear for TS once HC goes back to Heaven Realm), can't stop laughing :D
Hahahaha I'm not there yet.... but I'm kinda scared already. I hope my heart can take it.
I am at ep 28 and I am kinda scared too, HC frustrates me so much, actually all the sect leaders, I hate how they just all agreed to torture SF based on assumptions, "benevolence and righteousness" (rolling my eyes)
Hi! I am watching TMoPB (I am at ep30 currently) and I am naturally considering giving this spin-off a try, since…
We seem to be watching and considering the same things, I am episode 29 of TMoPB and was interested in checking out Fengju and Dong Hua story too, their interactions are so good, if only he responded openly
I was tossing up between Ashes of Love and this one as my first xianxia drama and I watched Ashes of Love and…
Haha that's the plan but I didn't know what to watch first, after reading few reviews, I started with Ashes of Love and fell in love, so now I think I can give the other 2 a fair chance too :D, planning to watch Eternal Love and then Love and Redemption
Hi! I am trying this out as my first xianxia drama, since it's such a popular classic and I just finished episode…
I was tossing up between Ashes of Love and this one as my first xianxia drama and I watched Ashes of Love and loved it <3, maybe you can try that next. I am going to try this one now, thanks to your review and other's replies, I know what to expect without spoilers :)
I'm halfway through and i'm honestly so disappointed. This drama is VERY overhyped. After watching Yang Zi in…
Haha thanks for this review, Finished Ashes of Love and was looking for a Yang Zi/Deng Lun fix, was planning to try it because of the rating but it seems I might have been disappointed
My 2 cents for anyone trying cdrama (and xianxia) for the 1st time like me, this is a very good place to start if you enjoy romance, fantasy, I was initially reluctant because of the episode count since I am a Kdrama fanatic, and the most we get there are 20/24 episodes, so 63 felt daunting.
Don't be deterred by the episode count, by the end I wished there were more episodes to watch, more Xufeng and Jinmi <3
The drama stays with you even after you finish, when I read the reviews before starting it, I thought people might be exaggerating but I understand it now, there is a certain magic to the story and the characters that just stays with you even after you finish watching. I usually can't stand misunderstandings or miscommunication between characters and thought I might skip those parts in this drama but even they kept hooked me in because they were so cohesively written into it.
Certainly a good stepping stone for my cdrama journey :D Please let me know if this review made you watch the drama and if you liked it too :D
Is it true that the drama has an open ending and there will be a second season ? Or is it a definitive ending…
Ok, so I just finished it 2 days back so I can answer it and I read reviews before starting so I was mentally prepared, yes it's very much an open ending that can be used as a starting point for Season 2
Same here, it felt like such an incomplete ending, I was hoping for a reunion, maybe few years later at je hyeok's…
yeah, when most of them left abruptly, i kept telling myself, it's all good, they will see each other at the end but I was so disappointed, I wanted to see kaist, he didn't even get to say goodbye to them all and they didn't even mention him again, same with dr. ko. At least, jean val jean was seen again and mentioned when kim min chul was released
