Hard to believe ML remembered some thug's face from 10 years ago. Unlike FL, who likely had him etched in her…
Honestly, it's okay even if he didn't remember the face. He remembered the incidents that occurred with great detail. As said, he was only 14 and on his first trip around the realm, and he took down a ring of traffickers. I would remember that. He doesn't need to remember the face, just the events, maybe even the scars on the man's face, and the fact that FL injured his leg with that unique dagger. Also, he trusts Meng Tinghui's judgment to remember him. In this case, circumstantial evidence becomes incriminating. Plus, I'm pretty sure he also confirmed with the witness he brought in if they have the right person.
Saying it doesn't make sense based on the argument that he shouldn't remember his face is just nitpicking
I have to say, this keeps getting more and more interesting!
I really love Ying Gua as Emperor. He is calm, patient, and strategic. If I had to take over a country this rotten and corrupt, I'd go full-on Xiahou Dan on those ministers.
i really dont like how the ml always needs to save fl. Donβt get me wrong, I like how they balance each other…
She's impulsive, and her character was written to be so. Some people just are; they lack impulse control. I think Song Mo from Blossom was equally an impulsive character, which is why he ended up the way he did in his first life. The only difference was that Song Mo could back his impulsive character with his martial arts skills and influence as a duke. I think, given a choice, the Emperor wouldn't use Meng Tinghui as a minister, but he literally has no one else he can trust as much as her. Better the devil you know and all that. I do hope her character develops though, especially now that she has started receiving promotions LOL
Iβm not sure whether it can really be called a flop, because that depends on which charts youβre referring…
Why does this happen with CZY dramas? I'm a CZY fan but not deep into showbiz, so I don't know how that works.
Also, as someone detached from that side of c-ent, I'd still say this drama is a hit! Not many people (that I know of) are watching (some non-fans don't even know it's airing), but a large percentage of those watching give positive reviews! I'd call that success over hype and mixed reviews
I love how they'll be bantering one moment, then bam! Ying Gua says something to remind everyone he's Emperor and they should fear him ππ It happened with the boys at the bath scene, and now with Meng Tinghui
Possible. That would be better, storywise. But he's really annoying. I want to take away his staff from him and…
I sometimes love it when these shows reflect society, because then people are able to see it for the problem it is. Like so many countries now globally are led by people over 70 who just refuse to give up power
Someone told me that in the novel, she fell first. Well, it's female accentric. Or, maybe it's the trend now.…
I feel like this whole "female-centric" view nowadays is kind of similar to how feminism was viewed a few years ago (or maybe still is?) that to empower women, the power has to be taken away from the men. Why can't power just go to those who deserve it, and we all respect each other?
Ep. 11: So FL comes to know king had shadow guards for her in prison & comes to talk to her. She doesn't bow…
I wholeheartedly agree, but another thing you overlook is that human beings can read subtle clues. She's able to do that because she KNOWS she can get away with it, with him having a soft spot for her beyond just being a minister. Also, when you look at where the story is headed (their romance), they wouldn't be able to get there if she is overly formal with him. For instance, even the POTUS is just a husband and father at home.
That being said, I agree that she should take TPO (Time Place Occassion) into consideration. I would consider the jail scene "work hours" in which case she owed him full respect, and the noodles scene in the restaurant after hours, in which case she can vent out her anger, since he is now more of a friend. In short, she should behave accordingly depending on whether he is donning the role of Emperor or He Du. And most of all, whatever the case, she should not disrespect or go against him in front of other ministers, especially when she is just being petty and they are not debating matters of the realm. Like now, she's just given herself away to Situ Xue, who I believe is a spy, that their relationship goes beyond Emperor and minister.
Somehow the subtitles are better right after upload (Kisskh), then when I'm looking to rewatch the subtitles have gone to hell π€·ββοΈ Anyway today's episode was fun. Wish there was more. When do we go back to 2 eps a day πππ

Guy just wants a bowl of noodles like the one he had the first time
